Alec pov
"Ms," I nod my head at her as a greeting with a bored tone. Ms.Maddison looked at me with an uninterested expression. I quickly went over to my usual seat. It was odd, Colin wasn't here nor was Kyle.

Have they gone to snob's house? Whatever, I don't care.

It had been a while since I was alone in a class. It was very, very boring. I started to feel drowsy and rested my hand on the table, laying my head on top of it, sleeping through the class.

A little nudge on my shoulder awoke me. When I lazily looked up to see who it was. It was some random girl.

I smile, "Yes?"

A shy smile crept up to her lips, "Lesson's over."

A yawn escapes out of me while standing up from my seat. I looked down with hooded eyelids at her chocolate brown eyes. It reminded me of someone...

Some girls were giggling while some whispered about, "He's good looking but his personality is kinda..."

Another whispered, "That's why I'm telling you Colin is way—"

"No way! Kyle's more—"

Ignoring their little chatters, I walk toward the class door to exit when Ms.Maddison's voice stopped me midway. "Alec?" She called out.

"Hm?" My head naturally turned.

"You seem more..." She paused for a second, "Quiet and tired. Are you doing alright?" She asked.

In the past, many teachers asked me the same question. It was known throughout this school among the adults what happened last summer. They even know the whole deal with my parents. Sometimes, I wish they never knew. I gritted my teeth, I don't need other people's pity nor concern.

"Yeah," I blankly replied.

She let out a sigh, "You're a good kid Alec... Just a little troubled."

A twitch ran across my eyebrow, before I could lose my temper I left the classroom. I know she means well... but seriously, it sometimes makes me feel exposed. Just then Jess and Ethan walked out of their class.

"Alec?" Jess wore a surprised look.

"Oh hey! It's been a couple of few days huh?" I smile, "Where are the others?"

"They went to Cecilia's. We're going to head there, you coming?" Jess asked eagerly.

Since when did Colin skip out on classes just for a hang out. He's been out of himself lately.

"You guys go ahead, I have to go home and spend time with—" I cut Ethan off before he could finish his sentence.

"Wait! Ethan before you go!" At the same time Jess left, heading over to snob's.

"What?"

I quickly looked at him with a serious look and I took a deep breath in, "TEACH ME HOW TO DRIVE!"

"Now?! Why? What the fuck? So random, I have to go home and hang out—"

"Please, please! Come on man, I don't want to go to snob's place cause I don't feel like it. I can't go back home right now too 'cause you know who is home. And it looks like everyone else is unavailable. You're my only hope! Please!"

Ethan looked at me with a I'm so done with your bullshit facial expression. "Okay wait," he said as he took out his phone and texted someone.

We got in the car and drove somewhere remote and spacious.

Within few hours, maybe minutes? I had finally gotten used to driving. Well sort of. I had my hands on the steering wheel and the car was parked.

"Now for parallel parking," Ethan said.
