Colin pov
Cecilia was staring at us with a blank expression. My mouth twitched to say something but she quickly ignored me and walked past my house.
"Come on! Don't stall, let's all go in!" Dad yelled obnoxiously, rushing and pushing us inside the house.
"Hello! You're welcome to stay with us! Maybe even forever," the wrench winked at Delilah.
Delilah in return softly smiled back at her.
She was a mix of elegant and sensual. The way she held herself... her long hair swayed and a whiff of fragrance would be in the air, forcing people to turn their heads as she walked by.
And if you caught a glimpse of her dewy eyes, you would be considered lucky to even have your gazes met. She would then softly smile, forcing you to glance at her lips and the beauty mark right below her lip would force you to prolong your gaze there. Before you know it, you have been ensnared by her alluring, sweet and flirtatious charm.
We started dinner a bit later than usual. Delilah's flight landing wasn't until later in the evening and that wrench had insisted we have dinner together. The dinner table was lively, Aria was also happy to see her. Delilah's presence seemed to have put dad and the wrench in a good mood today.
They tried to make it seem like they were interested in what her life abroad and studies were like but she would occasionally be jabbed with ulterior motives. One of the ulterior motives being when we would consider getting married already. We're only 17... for goodness's sake.
"Oh no it's okay! You're the guest, you don't have to clean the dishes. Colin will," the wrench laughed.
"Oh but I want to help somehow," Delilah smiled sweetly while I got up and took the plates to the kitchen.
I grabbed the sponge and started cleaning. Of course, the dish washer had to be broken too. Ugh–
"Where do guys keep water? Aria is thirsty," Delilah said as she opened the fridge.
I put the sponge down and washed my hands. "Delilah—" She cut me off before I could speak.
"Do you like her?" She asked while still looking into the fridge.
A tired sigh escaped my lips as I looked at her back with my usual expression.
She continued with her back still facing towards me, "That girl who was standing outside earlier."
She finally turned around and a pretty, elegant smile displayed on her lips, "Do you like each other?"
I shook my head no, "I'm not sure about her but yeah I do like her," there was a moment of silence before I continued, "Don't get me wrong, I did think about you from time to time. Thinking if I end up liking her it won't be fair to you."
She smiled at me like the way she did a year ago, "Well, it doesn't matter. We're not even actually a couple. Our parents forced us to. So they can combine their wealth and live comfortably."
That.
That was the whole truth about us.
"But—"
"You don't have to worry, I also messed around while I was studying abroad in Europe," her smiles always looked so elegant and attractive with her soft dewy like eyes and her smile faded slightly, "...Of course, I ended that too, seeming that I had been bound to you."
"Did she made you happy?" Delilah asked, perking up again.
"Yeah," I replied in monotone.
"Did she make you behave the way you usually don't?"
