Alec pov
Click. On. Click. Off. My thumb pressed the top nub of a pen repeatedly in an absentminded manner, clicking it on and off. Tsk. I hated the fact that I was recalling back to yesterday. She was swirling around in my thoughts and that silky sleepwear she was wearing.

A sudden poke to my temple snaps me out of my thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" Kyle asked.

"Silky pjs," I smirk at him.

"What?" Kyle's face contorts to a confused expression.

I chuckle.

"Mr.Anderson! OUT! Now! I'm done with you trying to mess up other student's studies," Ms.Maddison yelled.

Naturally, I shot a nasty look at her. She continued yelling and I couldn't be bothered to fight against her logic. Clearly, no one in the class is even paying attention. What's up her ass?

A sigh interrupts her. My gaze panned across the classroom to wherever the sigh came from and landed on Colin. "Clearly, there are other students in the front talking... What's up your ass?"

My eyes widened as Colin took the words right out of my thoughts. Our gazes met, my face turned smug, giving him a smug smile. I bumped my fist on my chest, twice before fist bumping in the air towards him. He gave me a deadpan stare while I returned him a cheeky smile.

"Oh? Colin, you have something to say? I guess even a good student like you gets into trouble for having bad friends huh?" She asked with a sarcastic undertone.

"No, the girls in the front row have been talking way louder than Alec. But you always seem to be a bitch about it when it comes to him. Do you like him or something?" Colin talked back in monotone.

He always speaks in monotone as if he has no heart and soul but this time. It just hit different. The way that insult came out of his mouth was like rubbing salt on a fresh wound. Like a chef's kiss. Although there's not many students here, the class was filled with low "Ohhhhs" towards Colin's remark.

It was hella surprising because Colin was always the quiet, smart kid in the class. Known not to ever talk back to teachers and sort of like a teacher's pet.

I say sort of, since he's associated being friends with me, it left a bad image on him. The girls he called out to were fangirling.

"ALEC, COLIN OUT!" She yelled.

"It's true though!" Kyle yelled out loud.

My gaze panned to him and he flashed a smile back at me. Ha! A corner of my lip curled up, smirking. This bastard was actually purposely antagonising her so he can get kicked out with us. Touché.

"KYLE OUT! Three of you out!" She yelled again.

We all got up from our seats and left the classroom.

"So we're free to go home?" Kyle chuckled.

Shrugging at Kyle's question, I look back at Colin, "Hey, thanks back there." A cheeky smile spreads across my face while I smack his back between his shoulder blades.

"It's nothing," he replied adjusting his glasses that slid down on his nose bridge from the impact of my smack. "She was getting on my nerves how she never teaches. She does more yelling than teaching."

"I knew you had a heart man, I'm so touched!" Kyle dramatically wiped fake tears and put his arm around Colin's shoulder.

Laughing amongst ourselves, except Colin who still had a nonchalant expression on, Jess and Ethan were walking out from the other classroom.

Jess had her usual fierce look with her eyebrows furrowed and arms crossed. She was glaring at Ethan like she was annoyed at him. Ethan looked unfazed.

"Yo! Jess, Ethan! What did you guys do?" I laughed, waving my arms at them to get their attention.

They both saw us. Ethan smiled, waving back at me. Jess rolled her eyes, gazing away from our direction and grumbled to herself.

Suddenly, Jess's head snapped back looking towards us with her jaw dropped. "Colin?! Why did you get kicked out?!" She exclaimed.

After explaining our situation, Jess and Ethan explained their's. They got kicked out over a stupid rubber band war. While they were shooting rubber bands at one another, both of their bands hit their teacher and got kicked out.

"Let's hang out then?" Jess asked.

"Colin! Never in my life did I expected you to burn a teacher." Ethan was extremely hysterical, tears almost dropping. "Dammit! I wish I was there to witness it."

We decided to hang out at our usual hotdog place. Before all of us left the school grounds, in the hallways I saw the rich snob wandering around. Looking naively stupid.

"Maybe she's here to see Blake?" Kyle popped out of nowhere.

I flinched. "What— Why— And how do you— No. What do you mean?"

He smirked, "I heard that she is Blake's cousin."

Kyle sometimes creeps me out on how many things he knows in this town.

"Don't give me that look. Not my fault that I'm forced to attend my aunt and her friends' daily teatime. They always gossip about these things." He casually dropped the information like it was no big of a deal to have found out without actually knowing the person.

He regrouped with Ethan, Jess and Colin, leaving me behind.

I fasten my walking pace to catch up to them.
