Coming out of the freezing cold, Bruce was all rugged up. His glasses fogged and lips trembling. “What's the commotion?”
Tony’s teeth chattered as he drank from his cup, the scalding coffee warming him up. “Well, the sceptre. You see, we were wondering how Strucker got so inventive. So, I've been analysing the gem inside you may recognize.” He brings up a 3D image of Jarvis's consciousness
Bruce nodded to the screen. “Jarvis.”
Jarvis’s smooth tone entered the room, “Doctor.”
Tony moved around the room; his eyes trained on a blinking screen. “Started out, Jarvis was just a natural language UI. Now he runs the Iron Legion. He runs more of the business than anyone besides Pepper.”
Bruce looked awestruck. “Oh.”
From across the room Tony’s head bopped up and down. “Top of the line.”
Bruce rolled his eyes knowing of Stark’s ambitious attitude. “Yes.”
Jarvis spoke again, this time with a sense of dread, if an AI could feel dread that was. “I suspect not for long.”
Unfazed Tony brought up another Three-D image of blue sparkles and rings. It was what the stone inside the sceptre looked like. “Meet the competition.”
Bruce’s voice drifted off as he stared. “It's beautiful.”
Tony waved his hand, dismissing the awing Bruce held. “If you had to guess, what does it look like it's doing?”
Bruce raised a brow, taking a moment to look at the screen, his eyes zoned onto the circles. “Like it's thinking. I mean this could be a... it's not a human mind, it...”
Tony agreed, his heart racing at the thought of creating something that had never been succeeded before. The thought of bringing back happiness to Steve and Barnes made him almost lightheaded. “Um-um.”
Bruce stared the screen and waved his arms around amazed by the science of it all. “I mean, look at this! They're like neurons firing.”
Tony laughed, “Down in Strucker's lab I saw some fairly advanced robotics work. They deep-sixed the data, but... I guess he was knocking on a very particular door.”
Bruce breathed out, “Artificial intelligence.”
Tony walked over to him, tears running down his face as he thought of the happiness that could be achieved thanks to a singular bot. “This could be it, Bruce. This could be the key to finding Anya. Ultron is a dream, a dream we can make to locate her.”

Stark and Banner spent days working in the lab together but found no program that worked. Hours were spent hunched over tables, the other members of the Avengers taking turns to bring the Science-Bros there caffeine hits.
No one knew what they were working on, as neither had taken a break long enough to explain; and this made the team antsy.
Steve and Bucky stayed in the gym, breaking multiple of Stark’s boxing bags, that there were at least several inches of sand by the end of each day. Stark’s robots had a field-day trying to clean the floor, making sure there wasn’t a single pearl of sand left for the next day.
Natasha barely spoke to anyone, keeping herself locked in her room, on her laptop using several of her connections to look for the woman; while Sam and Clint were doing a similar thing; there’s were just a tad more legal than that of the Russian assassin.
