The party had long finished, and Bucky wished to just leave and hide out in the gym, but Steve wouldn't let him. They were camped in one of the upper levels. Some of them were on the couches, and a few on the floor.
Bucky watched as Clint fiddled with a pair of chopsticks from where he sat between the couch Bucky and Steve were on, and the couch the doctor he had been introduced to her earlier was on along with Natasha.
Clint turned to where Thor had dropped his hammer onto the table in front of them. "But it's a trick!"
Thor laughed and shook his golden mane. "Oh, no. It's much more than that."
Clint huffed not believing it. "Uh, 'Whosoever be he worthy shall haveth the power!' Whatever man! It's a trick."
Thor snorted and waved a hand to the hammer, "Well please, be my guest."
To which Tony nodded. "Come on."
Clint looked surprised. "Really?"
Thor nodded and the archer stood. From where Bucky was seated, he watched as the man's jaw clenched and arm muscles tightened.
Thor cheered the man and from the other side of the table, Tony's friend Rhodes smirked, "Oh this is gonna be beautiful."
Tony joined in with his friend. "Clint, you've had a tough week, we won't hold it against you if you can't get it up."
Bucky was confused on what had been so hard for the man. He felt an arm bump his, as Steve spoke in his ear. "He got shot during the takedown of the facility I was telling you about."
The archer grumbled. "You know I've seen this before, right?" Grabbing at the hammer, he tried to lift it, but all he did was possibly stained his muscles. "I still don't know how you do it."
Tony pushed his nose up into the air, "Smell the silent judgment?"
Clint snarled and pushed the man, "Please, Stark, by all means."
Natasha groaned and turned to Maria. "Oh, here we go."
Reaching the table, Tony now wore his suit's gauntlet, "Right, so, if I lift it, I... I then rule Asgard?"
Thor confirmed it and Tony smirked at everyone. "I will be re-instituting Prima Nocta."
He tried to lift but failed, not that it was a surprise. Rhodes joined him, wearing his own metal gauntlet and the duo made a good show out of it. But the hammer didn't move an inch.
Rhodes complained, out of breath. "Are you even pulling?"
Tony retorted just breathless as his friend. "Are you on my team?"
Rhodes shook his head. "Just represent! Pull!"
Tony clicked his tongue, "Alright, let's go!"
The two men groaned as they pulled so hard that they went flying into the room besides thee group. No one made a movement to help them as the group watched Bruce stand, and pull. The scientist was getting frustrated and roared as his veins bulged and grew green as the Hulk attempted to come out.
Looking around Bucky saw that he wasn't the only one who was warily, everyone was except for Natasha who just smiled at him before turning her attention back onto Steve who still ignored her as he had done so since finding out that her past entwined with the past of Bucky.
Bruce grunted, "Huh," and flopped back onto his chair. "What about you Steve?"
Tony laughed, "Let's go, Steve, no pressure."
Bucky joined in with the laughing. If anyone could lift it, it would have to be one of the super soldiers. "Come on, Cap."
Steve grinned and pulled on the handle, watching in shock as it budged a little. Thor and Bucky joined him shock, their expressions border-lining alarm and awe. Steve still failed to lift it, which caused a laugh from Thor.
