This was it; this was the moment Anya had waited for the past seven decades. She was going to get the Soldier out of there even if she died succeeding. She had spent the last twenty years practicing her powers, the last time she had used them on someone was the last time she had seen her Soldier.

They had been moved back to America, the mere thought of it made her giddy. They were back home. During the years, she had managed to keep updated with the outside world besides just magic practice.

Vasily died before they were transported. With the new head of the Winter Soldier program; they were shipped back to the other side of the world. Alexander Pierce. He knew everything that he needed to know about Anya. Apparently, he wasn't happy with her treatment; in his words, "If she was able to kill them so easily, then they didn't deserve to be part of Hydra."

Pierce was in the same mind-frame as her Soldier- if they wanted a nurse for the Soldier, then the nurse needed to be taken care of. She was moved out of the tiny cell and had been given a slighter bigger one and was provided with any medical or mechanical books she needed.

Anya didn't want to punch a gifted horse in the mouth, but she couldn't help but laugh at how gullible Pierce was. She had asked a few times to access the internet to look up medical works and the man actually let her. Using an algorithm, she learnt from bored technicians; she made sure Hydra couldn't see what she was doing. Making it appear that she was indeed searching medical procedures, she was really updating herself on the world.

She could remember the day she found out that they had found Captain America and that he was alive. What shocked her more was the fact that they had proof on who the man was becoming Earth's first Avenger.

The man dubbed Captain America was Steven Grant Rogers. She had found the man's biography online. It didn't help that she had hacked into S.H.I.E.L.D, thanks to Pierce's double agents and had found information on not only Captain America but James and herself. Apparently, James had been the only Howling Commando to give up his life; this brought a tear to her eye as she read the original report from Steve himself, and then the updated version written by her old friend Peggy.

How terrified James must have been falling off that train.

Continuing to research, Anya found out that her brother and James found out about the ambush after coming home with all those from the one hundred and seventh that were still alive. Written next to her picture was information stating that she was the second Super Soldier and had worked underneath Erskine during the second world war.

She laid her head down crying remembering all the late nights she spent at the lab just to ensure that Steve would be asleep by the time she came home, and that James would have gone back to his place. The good doctor had a guilty pleasure for Schnapps. He loved the drink in all kinds of flavours; sometimes Anya thought it was more the company he liked, but apparently, he had offered Steve some the night before both of their procedures.

Anya had found the address for Steve and made sure no one was watching her before she made a quick pit-stop. Making herself still visible for anyone who walked into the computer room, all they would see was her asleep at the desk researching ways of making the Winter Soldier's arm more invincible.

Smiling she teleported into an apartment. The whole space screamed Steve to her. There were unfinished paintings laid against the walls. The apartment had two bedrooms, and there wasn't an ounce of feminine clothing, so she suspected that her brother still lived alone. Casing the place out, she found all the cracks and crannies, before teleporting back to the facility.
