Shuri and Wanda approached the couple, who were still stuck in their moment. Anya’s eyes were wide as was her mouth as she stared at Bucky with shock.

The two women watched as Anya stood uneasy, her legs trembling. Looking around the woman laid eyes on the duo and nodded when they walked back into the building. With the help of Bucky, Anya made it to the lab.

“Anya, Wanda and I believe we can help you remember,” Shuri motioned for her to follow them, but she didn’t want to leave James.

Both women smiled and with relief allowed the soldier to follow. Clinging to his side, Anya hid against his chest as they made their way into Shuri’s lab.

Bucky laid Anya down at the Princess’ request.

Wanda knelt next to the bed a ball of red energy sparking from her fingertips. “Now hun, I know you won’t remember, but we have similar powers.”

Anya raised a brow, disbelief shadowing her face. “I have the super soldier serum, that is all.”

Wanda shook her head, biting at her lip. “Do you remember endless of needles during captivity?”

Anya nodded her head, tears trickling.

Wanda smiled weakly. “They were Hydra experimenting on you and giving you powers. We have met before and realised we had similar powers.”

Anya turned to see James nodding; he obviously was there. But that raised a whole new question, one that had been asked before but received no answer. How was James still alive?

Wanda held her hand again gaining her attention. “I will be reading your mind to find your memories; I need you to pretend to hold the door open to them. They are there just locked away, keep the door open for as long as you can.”

Anya stared down at her hands, if what the woman said was true, did she really want to remember? Did she want to relive a hell that she could not recall? She turned to look at James, blushing when she noticed him already staring at her.

Looking back to the woman Anya believed to Wanda; “Imagine a door open, sounds easy enough.”

Laying down, Anya turned to face James once more. “Что, если я специально забыл? Что, если у меня плохие воспоминания?” Her lips sagged, turning into the adorable pout Bucky always remembered; and it still made his heart flutter just like it did in the forties.

“Конечно, что-то лучше, чем ничего.”

Her dazzling smile answered him. Anya was still as curious as she always was. It was probably why the Erskine doctor chose her to be his assistant and Second Super Soldier.

Without looking at the two other women, he nodded alerting them to start. Anya’s eyes fluttered and a peaceful sigh escaped her lips. Red mist enveloped her face and head, along with a few sensors for Shuri’s machines.

Bucky just prayed that this worked, and that Anya wouldn’t be driven crazy by the memories. Her question had struck him and for once since the suggestion, he suddenly felt dread.

Anya closed her eyes and waited; she didn’t know what for. Soon there was sharp throb behind her eyes. A weight prevented from raising an arm to rub the ache away. The throb soon magnified, the pain intensified until it took all of her will power not to scream, her body locking tight. Beyond the pain, it was as if she was watching a movie.
