Everything is so quiet at four in the morning. The world is completely still around me, it feels like I'm the only one here. Slowly, as quietly as I can be, I crawl back into bed where Harry lays asleep. Lucky him.
I couldn't sleep tonight and it's strange because it's been a few weeks since I last had a night like this. Tonight it was the courtesy of a nightmare and minor panic attack right after. I probably should've woken Harry but I didn't want to burden him like that in the middle of the night. I just stuck it out and then distracted myself after by getting Harry's birthday gift and making it hard to open like he did mine, because I know it's going to annoy him.
The blanket is almost completely on Harry's side. I've learnt he's a blanket hogger and the problem with that is I get very cold at night. I guess it's not so much of a problem though since I always end up snuggled very close to Harry instead.
I smile as I watch him sleep soundly. His arms are crossed over his bare chest as if imitating the position of holding someone in his arms. He looks so cute when he sleeps. I decide to lay my head on his stomach, right below where his arms cross. My body curls up next to me and I rest my right arm against Harry's warm skin.
Forcing my eyes to shut, I think about just a few hours ago, right after I asked Harry to be my boyfriend because I still can't believe that happened.
"Come on." I tug at his hand again because for the last minute, he's been trying to convince me to ditch the party with him.
"I don't wanna go back inside." he whines and tugs me back to him so that I'm against his chest.
"Harry-" I laugh and he cuts me off by kissing me. "No, we have to go back." I pull away smiling.
In the midst of my reminiscing I feel a hand on my head. I open my eyes and shift slightly to see Harry still deep in sleep and I get that light feeling in my stomach. He did that in his sleep.
"I wanna run away with my girlfriend though." he cheekily smiles and I get butterflies from him calling me his girlfriend.
How am I supposed to get used to that?
"We can't leave everyone here when it's a celebration for us." I remind him.
He sighs. "Fine, we'll go back."
"Yay." I pull his hand again and this time he actually follows me.
"Wait," I stop and turn around to face Harry, "are we going to tell them?" he asks me.
"You mean that we're.." he nods as I trail off. "Let's keep it a secret, for now. We can have tonight for ourselves and then we'll tell them." I smile and he bends down to kiss my cheek.
