Harry's POV:

"Merry Christmas!" I jump on top of Hayley and she groans sleepily. "Baby, wake up!" I wrap my arms around her and bury my face in her neck. She smells faintly like the winter candy apple body wash and lotion she's been using since we got to mum's house.

I hear Hayley groan again in protest. She mumbles something that sounds vaguely like, "Merry Christmas. What time is it?"

Last night, I was exiled to my cousin's house because Hails, Anne and Gemma wanted to have a girls' night. I didn't get home until almost midnight and they were still awake watching Christmas films. I feel kind of bad about waking her up so early but...

"Six."

Hayley groans for a third time. "In the morning?"

"Yes." I almost wince.

"Harry Edward—" I lift my head up to see her squinting her eyes slightly. "Why'd you wake me up?" She does not seem pleased as she asks this.

"Because it's Christmas!" I say with much enthusiasm.

"The sun doesn't rise for at least another two hours, Haz. That's two hours of sleep I'm missing out on."

I get the urge to pout and am unable to fight it. "I'm sorry, I'm just lonely."

"Jesus." She mutters, getting one of her arms free to run a hand down her face, I'm guessing trying to wake up. Good, I'm not letting her go back to sleep. Not while I have this much energy anyway. I'm too excited to give her the presents I got her.

"Yes, it is his birthday." I crack a smile and she rolls her eyes. So endearing.

"Lie back down." Hayley instructs. She gets her other arm free, wraps both around my neck and pulls me back against her. One of her hands begins to scratch my head soothingly as she asks, "Is Anne awake yet?"

"Apparently she's been awake for an hour starting to make food so everything's ready when Quinn and Brooke get here later." This information causes Hails to freeze.

"It's six in the morning and she's downstairs cooking for six people by herself?" she asks, concern lacing her voice suddenly.

"No, Gem is helping." My words seem to immediately relieve her.

"Oh, good." She now resumes scratching my head. When I lift it back up though, she looks at me strangely. "What?"

"Nothing." I continue to admire her.

"What?" Hayley prods for an answer.

I shake my head. "I just think that it's cute the way you worry about my mum."

"I don't know what I'd do without your mum, I have to worry about her well-being."

I shift around so that I'm still on top of Hails but my elbow is next to her ear, allowing me to prop my head up and look down at her. "Honestly, I don't know what she'd do without you either."
