Black has always been my favourite colour.

I've always loved the colour but I tend to tell people my favourite colour is red to avoid the judgement people pass whenever I say I love black. If I ever did get married I wouldn't even wear white; I'd wear black.

As our car pulls up to the entrance of the red carpet of the American Music Awards, I can't help the nerves that begin to find a home in my body. There's going to be a lot of people here tonight, a lot of famous people. I'm here tonight but I'm not going to be Hayley Granger in the eyes of most. No, I'm going to be Harry Styles' date.

I can hear screams and shouts of the boys' names, originating from across the wall. As Harry takes my hand, helping me out the car at the entrance for the red carpet, Thalia passes me a dirty look. It's almost one that looks condescending, like she's trying to prove something to me and my being here.

The boys all look absolutely breathtaking. Each of them wear almost all black outfits, perfectly matching the black dress Harry got made for me. Of course I'm the one who did their hair, and I did it before I even thought of getting ready myself. Not to sound full of myself or anything but I did one hell of a job on them.

Lou is helping me touch up the boys' hair one last time before they- we go onto the carpet. I spent way too long meticulously placing each hair on their heads, only now making sure it stays truly perfect because there's no way I'm letting my work get ruined.

I stand in front of Zayn, making sure the one strand of hair I decided to pull out is positioned just right. The look I was going for was entirely inspired by that one hairstyle that every guy in the 90s wore.

"I'm obsessed with your hair." I speak to Zayn as I'm just about finished spraying down his hair so that the style will hold for the entire night.

"Try not to sound too full of yourself, Georgia Rose." Zayn manages to crack a smile.

"How is that being full of myself?" I drop my hand and quickly pull Louis by his wrist to stand in front of me, grabbing the hairspray again.

"Because you did it." The amber-eyed boy looks at me with a knowing look.

"Artists tend to admire their work so, sorry." My apology is fully sarcastic and he is well aware of it. "Danny, please stop flinching." I speak to Louis, attempting to spray his hair but failing cuz he keeps fidgeting.

"You're getting it in my face." he complains.

I sigh and bring my hand up to cover his forehead and eyes, using the other one to spray the front and do the same thing I did previously with Zayn, making sure all the hair will hold for the entire night.

Harry is wearing a hat, so his is perfectly fine the way it is, until later when he takes it off for the performance and I'll have to fix it beforehand.
