chapter 6. in the still of the night

DANIEL PICKED UP some papers that were just thrown all over the floor and handed them back to Darcy. "I can't believe this..." He sighed. "I know, this is a nightmare! I can't believe he had the audacity. What are we going to do about this?" She asked with a sigh, when Daniel got an idea. "Hey, how about you and I go hangout again tonight?" He suggests. "Hangout?" Darcy lifts her head up. "Daniel, you know I'd love to but, what about this? What about our plan?" She said to him.

"Oh come on, I think of my best ideas when I'm having fun! We can clean up here a bit more then tonight, I know of a great club I can take you to! We can release a little bit of stress, have some fun and think of ideas for a plan while we're at it. C'mon, what do you say?" Daniel kept at trying as he handed her back some more stray papers from the ground. "Well...alright, I guess. But we have to clean up most of the shop before we can go, and I get out of work at 8 tonight, so maybe 9 we can go?" She asked.

"Yeah, definitely!" He smiles, continuing to help her clean. "Alright, but we need to remember to think of a plan and we absolutely have to clean up at least almost all of this mess! My boss isn't going to be too happy to see this." She sighed.

"I know, yeah that should be no problem. I can only stay for about an hour more though, then I gotta go help Mr. Miyagi too and head back home for dinner. But don't worry, we'll try to clean up as much as we can before we hangout again later," Daniel promised her. Together, they worked for about two more hours to clean up as much as they can of the shop. As Daniel promised, he was able to help her clean up almost the entire shop before heading back to Mr. Miyagi's, then home for supper.

Darcy was just a little worried, she was more concerned about Mike Barnes harassing them than going out tonight. But maybe Daniel was right, maybe they need to let loose and have a little more fun.

Later that night, they pulled up to the night club and went in. It was booming with music, lights flashing all over the place. "I really should get out more, this is even my first time in a night club!" Darcy comments as they just come inside. "What? No way! You do really gotta get out more, man!" Daniel smirked, playfully shoving her. They then continued talking as they went upstairs for about a half hour or so, and talked about other things too. Like their favorite movies and tv shows, and music to listen to, and Daniel's karate with the All Valley Tournament.

"You know, I really enjoy hanging out with you Daniel." Darcy smiled while they were sitting down to relax a bit. "I really enjoy hanging out with you too." He smiled back. "You're the first person in a while who makes me feel truly cared about, you know? Like we just met, but I could tell already you're a true friend and you really do care about me. I haven't felt that way in a long time, you know? I'm so used to being just hurt and used and even abused from people. Nobody's ever genuinely wanted to spend time with me and care about me like you do." Explains Darcy.

"Hey, of course I care about you! Why wouldn't I? You're just amazing and beautiful, and...umm.." Danny blushed a little when he realized he maybe just had flirted with Darcy with that comment. Darcy smiled and blushed a little herself. "Hey come on, let's head back downstairs," Daniel said after a few seconds of awkward silence. Darcy agreed, and as they walked back downstairs they came back to the main party.

The band was playing loud music and the lights seemed to be even brighter than before when they first came. "C'mon, let's dance!" Danny smiles, shouting over the loud music as Darcy smiles and takes his hand. He leads them to the dance floor, and starts them dancing to the music. "I honestly don't really know how to dance! I just follow what everybody else does," Darcy said. "Hey, I'll show you! Like this, watch--" Danny took a step back and started to dance, making Darcy smile. "Wow, you're amazing! I don't know if I can do all that though," She smiled. 

"Of course you can, here I'll help you! Ready?" Danny smiled, reaching out his hand for Darcy to take. However, what Daniel didn't notice was Terry Silver, watching from around the corner with a miscehvious smile on his face. He bumped into Mike Barnes while he was there, perfect. He whispered something to him and handed him a stack of cash. 

Mike smiled and nodded along, going over to Daniel shortly after. "Hey, LaRusso! And oh look who it is." He grinned, shoving past Danny to get to Darcy. She took a step back from him, and Daniel started to get angry. It was the same ass who tried to beat him up before. "Hey, man! Back away from her alright?" Daniel said, being shoved by Mike after. "Mike, go away! Seriously I mean it!" "Hey doll, don't be like that! Come on, you know you'd rather spend the night with me," Mike smirked as he snaked an arm around Darcy's waist and she jerked away from him. 

"Hey, man!" Daniel shouted, and when he was shoved again he punched Mike square in the face, knocking him down to the ground. 

"DANIEL!" Darcy shrieked, surprised. "What the hell is wrong with you?! What are you nuts?!" Daniel didn't say anything in response, thinking she would be happy he just saved her. Instead, he was surprised by this reaction. "I think he broke my nose! He broke my nose!" Mike groaned as he got back up, covering the blood that was all over his face. "Darcy wait--" Daniel says. Embarrassed, Darcy runs off. 

That was Silver's cue to go over. He met up with them and grabbed Daniel's arm, pulling him out towards the back. "Hey! Wait, Darcy!" Danny called out as Silver dragged him along. This wasn't going as planned.

A/N: Okay I feel like I should've included Silver more if I was gonna do this scene but I actually didn't plan on it until a few days ago so I MAY go back and edit this story to include Terry's conversations with Kreese to give his parts more of a context instead of just tossing him in like I did here. Anyways, let me know what y'all think of this chapter! I'm loving this story sm so far and I hope y'all are too!
