swimming even though she had
feared to drown.
she wanted him to be happy in life,
so she made sure to buy him stuff.
he said he was scared of the dark, so
she lit a flame to brighten the night
for him, even when the flame
burned her.
he said his favorite color was gray,
so she took the pills from the
cabinet and consumed them, so that
way he could find her lifeless body
looking as gray as ever.
but when he found her,
he realized that he never
liked swimming.
that he was always happy, even
without gifts.
he was never truly scared of the dark,

always purple.
