i still remember your favorite color.
it was green.
i attached that memory to nature,
like grass, and trees, and the stems of the flowers you would never buy me.
and now whenever i step outside,
i'm reminded of you.
do you remember my favorite color?
i still remember your family very fondly.
i remember your sister,
and the way she always knew whenever
it was my knock on your house door.
i remember the way she'd smile as she
opened your home to me,
and your embarrassed grin
as you stood behind her.
do you remember any of my siblings?
i still remember how you broke up with me,
and i still remember how easily the words slipped out of your mouth.
do you remember my eyes in that moment?
and how deeply they were drowning?
do you remember anything about me?
