*This chapter will be from Dean's POV.*

"Everyone got their tasers?" Dean asked, opening the driver side door.

Sam and Riley nodded at him, holding up their tasers. They all climbed out the car and Sam lead them into the old house. They were hunting a rawhead, a creature that lurked in basements and preyed on children. Dean found the entrance to the basement and slowly opened the door. He held a finger up to his lips, silently instructing Sam and Riley to be quiet. They nodded their heads and the three of them crept down the creaky wooden steps. Dean heard shuffling below and gripped his taser in his hand. They reached the bottom of the steps and Riley pointed to a door on the other side of the basement. Dean nodded to her and Riley crept forward, opening the door. Inside, two terrified children were huddled together. Riley knelt down and gently guided them out.

"It's okay, we're gonna get you out of here." Riley whispered.

The children nodded their heads and clung to Riley's hands. The five of them began walking up the stairs when suddenly, Sam was pulled through the gaps in the steps. Riley called out to him but Dean told her to get the kids out and that he'd handle it. Riley looked like she wanted to argue, but one of the children began pulling on her arm and Riley left the basement. Dean fired his gun at the rawhead that had grabbed Sam and the creature released him instantly. Dean pulled Sam up and pushed him up the stairs.

"Go find the others, I'll take care of this thing." Dean said.

Sam nodded, telling him to be careful, before turning and racing up the stairs. Dean suddenly found himself face to face with the rawhead. The creature looked furious that Dean had freed it's dinner and lunged at the hunter. Dean was easily able to dodge it and taser the beast. Unfortunately for Dean, he didn't realise they were stood in a puddle and before Dean could remove the taser, he felt excruciating pain flow through him. Dean cried out in pain. His vision was blurry and Dean just managed to make out the rawhead collapsing to the ground. Another figure approached but Dean didn't need his eyes to know that it was Sam who'd dropped down beside him. Within seconds, everything went black.

When Dean finally regained consciousness, he was surprised to see he was in a hospital bed. But what was more surprising, was Riley sat in a chair beside his bed with her head on the mattress beside his knee. Her arms were tucked under her cheek for support and Dean wondered how long she'd been there. That also lead him to wonder how long he'd been there. His whole body ached and it felt like something was squeezing the air out of his lungs. He felt weak and exhausted. Even reaching a hand out to Riley's arm was painful and Dean groaned at the action. Riley's head whipped up and she looked straight at Dean.

"Oh thank god you're awake!" Riley gasped. She moved her chair closer to him. "How're you feeling?"

"Never better." Dean said sarcastically.

"I'm gonna let that one slide since you're in a hospital bed and look like death." Riley smirked at him.

"I feel like death. What happened?" Dean asked.

"You electrocuted yourself." Riley said, leaning forward.

"No I know that, I mean what happened after that?" Dean rolled his eyes.

"Oh, well we got the kids out, the police turned up and took them home. Sam went back to help you and that's when he saw you taser the creature and then yourself." Riley said.

"And where's Sam now?" Dean raised a brow.

"He's dealing with the insurance and the police." Riley said, pointing a thumb over her shoulder. "I'll go and tell the doctor you're awake."
