*Dean POV*

The old warehouse was cold, damp and dark. Dean kept his eyes and ears on high alert as he lead Sam and Riley through the building. Once again they were tracking down vampires and Dean was pumped with adrenaline. As they walked down the hall, a small hand gripped the back of his shirt.

"Dean, look, down there!" Riley gasped.

Dean turned quickly just as a figure disappeared around the corner. The three of them chased after the vampire, running through the warehouse. As they rounded the corner, they saw a body on the ground with a large bite in the side of his neck, bleeding to death. Riley stopped and leant over the body but Sam gripped her arm and pulled her away.

"It's too late, we gotta leave him." Sam said, breathless from running.

Dean suggested they split up and try to corner the vampire so they could catch him. Sam and Riley agreed, so Dean and Riley headed one way while Sam ran the other way. After a few minutes, Dean spotted the vampire again and the couple chased him into a large room.

"Alright, enough of this." Dean said, pulling out his machete.

"Wha... what are you doing?" Riley gasped.

"Luring them out." Dean said.

"Are you crazy! There's two of us and God knows how many of them!" Riley hissed.

"That's not true. We have Sam too." Dean smirked.

"Dean." Riley glared at him.

"Riley, relax, it's fine." Dean said. He held up the machete to his arm but froze before the blade made contact with his skin. "Maybe you should wait over there."

"Why? I thought you said it was fine?" Riley raised a brow at him.

Dean rolled his eyes and looked down at his arm. He took a deep breath and sliced across his arm with the machete. Blood spilled from the cut and Dean looked straight ahead, narrowing his eyes.

"You smell that? Smell's good don't it? Come and get it!" Dean yelled out.

Within seconds, a female vampire appeared and charged towards him. Out the corner of his eye he saw Riley pull out the syringe filled with dead mans blood. The vampire got closer, eyes red and fangs bared, ready to devour it's prey. Dean gripped his machete tighter in his hand, ready to swing if he needed to. Luckily for him, he didn't need the blade. The vampire lunged for him when Riley dived forward and drove the needle into the vampire's neck, injecting the blood into her. The vampire dropped to the floor and Riley stood up straight, panting for breath.

"See, told you it was fine." Dean smirked.

"Does that hurt?" Riley asked, pointing to his arm.

Dean looked down and shrugged. "Not really."

"Oh." Riley leant forward and slapped his arm.

"Ow! Now it does!" Dean exclaimed.

"Good! That'll teach you for being such an idiot!" Riley glared at him.

"I had everything under control!" Dean argued, gripping his arm.

This time Riley rolled her eyes and turned away from him. Sam entered the room and hurried over to them. Sam glanced at Riley and then back at Dean. Dean shook his head and pressed his lips together.

"Everyone okay?" Sam asked cautiously.

Riley spun around. "You mean besides your brother being an idiot, yeah we're all good."
