*Dean POV.*
Nothing but numbness spread throughout his body. Nothing but pain filled his head and his heart. Nothing but grief enveloped his entire being. Sam was dead. And Dean was nothing but an empty shell of himself. Bobby was heartbroken and terrified. Riley hardly spoke a word and spent all her time crying, although Dean knew she was trying to stay strong for him. Since he'd carried Sam's body into one of the houses, he hadn't left his side. He couldn't. Both Riley and Bobby had tried to convince Dean to sleep, eat or at least just take a break. But Dean ignored them both.
After a while, Riley left the house, saying she needed some air, and Bobby lingered around the house. Dean suspected it was because neither of them wanted to leave Dean alone but still granted him the space he wanted. But his time alone was cut short when he heard Riley return and saw Bobby walk into the room. Riley lingered near the doorway and shoved her hands in her pockets.
"Dean, don't you think it's time to bury Sam?" Bobby said gently.
"No." Dean said flatly, still staring at his brother.
"I get that you're hurting son, but I need you to come with me." Bobby sighed.
"No."
"Dean, something big is happening here. End of the world, big." Bobby said desperately.
Dean looked up sharply and yelled, "THEN LET IT END!"
Out the corner of his eye he saw Riley jump and then lower her head as more tears fell down her cheeks.
"You don't mean that." Bobby whispered.
"Haven't I done enough? Haven't I sacrificed enough?" Dean said darkly, standing up. "Is this my punishment for trying to be happy?"
He saw Riley suck in a sharp breath and bite down on her lip. He didn't blame Riley, but he couldn't help but feel like he was being punished for allowing himself to be happy and open up his heart to her.
"Dean.."
"Just get out." Dean said darkly. "Both of you, just go."
"You shouldn't be left alone Dean." Riley said in a weak voice.
"Just go! LEAVE!" Dean yelled, shoving Bobby in the chest. Suddenly he froze, realizing what he'd just done. "I'm sorry."
He turned away from them, ashamed of his actions. Bobby let out a sigh before leading Riley out of the room. Dean turned back to Sam and ran a hand down his face. He started talking to Sam about when they were little and how Sam started asking questions when he was five.
"I always told you not to ask." Dean chuckled. "I always tried to protect you and keep you safe, because that was my responsibility. I guess I screwed that up, huh?" Dean sighed. "I'm sorry Sammy, I'm sorry I let you down. I guess that's what I do, I let down the people I love."
Dean could no longer hold back. He broke down, burying his head in his hands. Suddenly an idea occurred to him and he raced out to the impala. He was going to fix this.

*Riley POV*
Riley and Bobby walked down the street side by side. The town was eerily silent and although Riley knew that everyone had gone and no more demons would be summoned to attack them, she still felt anxious and on high alert.
"I'm worried about him, Bobby." Riley admitted.
"Me too, kid." Bobby nodded. "He'll be okay, he just needs time to grieve."
