Levi Sumner, a happy go lucky instrumentalist adopted into an African American home, has to face a world that believed he didn't belong. Soon, however, he meets a girl named Amora Wisely. She, too, was living life on edge.
After the murder of her si...
Another two weeks had passed, but everything was finally set up to set Levi free. I was nervous, excited, and hurt all at once. What he did was innocent self defense, nothing more.
"Guessing you're here for Levi?" the man behind the desk asked me.
"Yes," I responded.
"Alright. He's in number five to your right."
"Thank you," I smiled, and slid the worker an autograph, seeing the blush all within his face.
I walked to the glass divider, seeing Levi's head was held down.
I picked up the dial phone, "Hi baby."
His head shot up immediately and he pressed his phone to his ear, looking at me, "Thank God you're okay. Are you hurt? Do y-"
I smiled with tears in my eyes, "I'm fine."

I laughed a bit.
I missed those veins of his.

He kissed me repeatedly as if I was a miracle he had never expected to see.
I wrapped my legs around his waist and held his face in my hands, soaking in his ocean golden brown irises.
"I was so scared this would break us apart, but I couldn't lose you," he said underneath his breath.
I wiped his tear away with my thumb, "Already forgetting what we stand for..?"
He only looked at me, confusion taking over his mind.
"Nothing could break us," I smiled, and his glassy eyes sparkled back at me with admiration, lost at my sudden words.
"Because we were down with broken from the beginning."
