Monique was sitting on her couch holding her baby boy. Jaylianna was sitting up on the couch playing with her dolls. She was halfway sleep. Monique smiled as she looked at both of her kids.
August was out taking care of business. Monique was glad that she had her baby because she needed to get back on the ball game. Time was running out, and Monique and the rest of the crew needed to kill Kyree and everybody else who's working with him as soon as possible.
Monique got up, and she placed Jamani in his baby chair that Akira bought him. Monique turned on the lullaby music and watched as Jamani rocked to sleep. Jaylianna was sitting up sleeping with a doll in her hand. Monique took a picture, and decided to post it on snapchat. She then sent it to August, and he laughed at the message and posted it on his social media.
Monique was glad that Jamani wasn't as cranky. Jamani always slept and when he did cry, it was just because he had to use the bathroom or he was hungry. Other than that, he loved sleeping. Monique and August knew that Jamani was going to be a mamas baby.
August opened the door slowly, and he closed the door. He saw Monique near the kitchen, and he decided to scare her.
He walked up to her, and put his hands on her shoulders. Monique jumped, and slapped August in the head.
"Boyyyyy, you bout lost your life." Monique said.
"Yeah right." August laughed. "Anyways, guess what mamas?"
"What?" Monique asked.
"So you know that Haitian dude Eric I met a while back?" August asked Monique, and she nodded. "Well baybeh, he wants to close the deal on the strip club."
"AUGUST...THAT MEAN...THAT ME-"
"Yes baybeh, Sexy Sapphire is finna be mines." August said. Monique hugged August and then they jumped up and down together.
"I'm so proud of you August." Monique squealed.
"Thank you mama, but I have something else to tell you." August said, and his whole demeanor changed. August has been dreading to tell Monique about his brain cancer. August had went to the doctor before he went to close the deal, and the doctor informed him that he needs to tell his loved ones because the cancer is getting worse. A tumor is building inside his head, and he didn't know how big it was going to get. It was scary but August didn't want to think about it.
"Wassup baby?" Monique asked.
Just then, Ahmad and Akira knocked on the door, and Monique kissed August's cheek and got up to open the door. August sighed because he knew time was running out.
"Heeeey y'all." Monique said to Akira, Ahmad, and Shaniya.
"Hey auntie Mo Mo. Is Jay sleep?" Shaniya asked, and Monique nodded. They all walked inside, and Monique closed the door.
