Anya let Mariah into the house, and Mariah shut the door behind her.
"Nice house," Mariah said looking at the pictures of Anita and the kids. Including Monique.
"She looks just like you," Anya said to Mariah.
"I know," Mariah said as she sat down. "Look I really need to get-"
"Ayy sis who was at the ....oh hey how you doing?" Amya said to Mariah, and she waved and smiled.
"Excuse me...Ahamad! Alontae!," Anya screamed. "Bring y'all asses down here."
2 seconds later, the boys went downstairs. Alontae recognized who Mariah was the minute he saw her. Ahmad looked at her, and he noticed that she resembled Monique very well.
"Damn she look like Monique," Ahmad said.
"You dumb fuck," Alontae said. "This is Monique's real mama."
"HER WHAT!" Ahmad yelled.
"And she's mama sister," Anya said.
"Wait a min-...mama said she was the only child." Amya stated.
"I see Anita has told you a lot of things." Mariah said shaking her head.
"So....so...so you're our aunt?" Ahmad asked, and Mariah nodded.
"Not to be rude or anything, but how old are you?" Anya asked.
"I'm 27, my birthday is Monday and I'm turning 28." Mariah said.
"Bruhhhh! That shit adds up perfectly. Cause that mean you had Monique at 13 and yeah!" Amya said.
"You got it!" Mariah said.
"This explains why mama lied to Monique this whole entire time. She knew that her sister was Monique's mama." Ahmad said.
"Right!" Mariah said. "The only reason why I haven't seen Monique since she was little was because Anita paid me every single week to not see her. Her and Marcus made a deal that I needed to stay out of their lives because I was a home wrecker when in actuality, Marcus wanted me when he was 15. Mind you, Anita is 10 years older than me so why in the hell would you want to date someone younger than you and get mad when I got pregnant you know? Long story short though, Marcus didn't want me being with him because he was quote on quote in love with Anita...which was a damn lie. Anyways, I've had enough. I wanna see my daughter. I only saw her once, and that was when she was 10 years old. And when she saw me, she looked to me as if I was her damn cousin. I'm just over it at this point." Mariah explained.
