Day Two cont..
Dr. Angie
"Alrighty now Sonya you said that you feel like Tony isn't affectionate enough. Go into more depth on what you mean by affectionate enough." I said.
"Me and Tony have been married for 10 years. Before our marriage, the sex was AMAZING. He used to shower me with gifts every day, he used to cook dinner unexpectedly, and he even used to stop by my job just for a quickie. Now he doesn't even acknowledge me. I'll cook dinner, and he'll eat it but he doesn't even interact with me. I ask him how his day at work went, I ask him is he okay, I ask him all types of questions, but I don't get that in return at all. I think he's cheating on me......" Sonya's voice trailed off. I handed her some tissue, and she wiped her tears way from her face.
"Alright Mr. Jones," I said finishing up my notes. "How do you feel about what Sonya just said?" I asked.
"Let me tell you something Dr. Angie, if Sonya feels the way she feels then it is what it is. At this point, I've tried everything in my power to be there for Sonya. I'm out of work because my job laid me off, I barely have money, I'm dealing with family issues back home, and I'm still dealing with the death of my step-son. All Sonya wants from me is sex and more sex. But she won't tell you that. Then on top of that with KeyAnna and KeyOnna fighting all the time, it's draining." Tony said.
"I'm still dealing with his death too Tony," Sonya scoffed. "You're not the only one dealing with issues so don't make it seem like you're the only one."
"I'm not making it seem like I'm the only one Sonya. Let me ask you something, when's the last time you checked on your daughters and ask them how are they feeling? When? Because I can't even remember the last time you did because you're either out drinking with your girls or you're at work." Tony said.
"You see Dr. Angie, I love my wife. She's the best thing that ever happened to me, but she's selfish. She's self-centered. And if it doesn't benefits her, then she doesn't want any dealings. KeyAnna and KeyOnna are not even my biological daughters, but I still take care of them like they are mines. I did KeyAndre the same exact way. Sonya doesn't even check on her kids. When KeyAndre was here, I checked up on him. I asked him was he alright. See, I knew he was going to commit suicide. I could tell he didn't have any fight left in him. I tried to stop him, but when I got home, he already did what he had to do. He left his suicide note and it broke me to pieces-"
"I don't want to talk about this right now Tony." Sonya interrupted.
"How are we going to move on then Sonya? There's no point into holding on to something like this." Tony added.
"Excuse me," Sonya said. She grabbed her things and she left out of the room.
"I'm sorry," Tony said. "Maybe I hit a nerve."
"No you didn't Tony," I said. "It's different types of emotions bottled up inside with Sonya right now. Give her time, and I'll see y'all tomorrow at 8 AM."
"Okay. Thanks Dr. Angie." Tony said.
"No problem." I said.
When Tony left, I grabbed a tissue out the box, and I wiped my tears. Hearing the two of them brought me back to when my daughter passed away due to suicide.
