Chapter 72

Day Two

Omniscient

It was day two at the couples retreat, and it was getting off to a rough start. Luckily, things will get better soon, but for now it was going to get a little ugly.

Everyone was in their rooms getting ready for the breakfast. Each couple needed to eat all they can eat today because they had a big day ahead of them.

Each couple are assigned a therapist, and for a hour and 30 minutes, each couple has to get to know their therapist and talk about their goals to make their relationship better again.

Monique and August were getting ready when there was a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" Monique asked.

"Jerome." Jerome said.

Monique rolled her eyes, and she went to the door. When she opened it, Jerome stood there smiling.

"Goodmorning Monique." Jerome said.

"Hey." Monique said sternly.

"Well uh I just came by to tell everybody that breakfast is ready and that we can come eat." He said.

"Great," Monique said. "We'll be down there in a minute. Bye."

Monique shut the door in Jerome's face, and she was happy that August didn't see that because he would've asked her why she did that.

"Who was dat baybeh?" August asked putting on his shirt,

"Oh, it was one of the people who worked here. He said breakfast was ready." Monique lied.

"Oh ight, well let's get going mamas." August said gripping on Monique's butt.

"Move August," Monique said. "Not right now."

"Ya' ass lucky we got this breakfast this mornin' cause I swea' I would've pipped ya' ass silly in this bed." August said. Monique laughed and shook her head. August opened the door for Monique, and she walked out of the door. Holding hands, Monique and August walked down the hallway and got on the elevator to go down to the room where the breakfast was at.

"AHH HEY SONYA!" Monique said going to hug Sonya. Sonya got up and she hugged Monique. She saw her daughters and Monique went to go hug the both of them.

"Damn, y'all look good." Monique smiled.

"Girl at the age I am, you gotta look good." Sonya said, and her and Monique high fived each other. 

"Nah Monique, you look good." KeyOnna said. 

"Girl, tell me something I don't know okay!" Monique laughed.  August held her chair out for her to sit down, and once Monique sat down then he sat down.

"Hey August." KeyAnna said.

"Wassam KeyAnna. Wassguud KeyOnna." August spoke to the girls.

"Hey Sonya and Hey Tony." August said, and the two of them smiled and spoke back.

"Alright, welcome welcome to the 3rd annual couples retreat. I am your host Mrs. Anderson and this is my husband who's also the other host Mr. Anderson. But please, call us Allison and AnToní." Allison said. "I'm so glad that you all could take a week out of your time to come to this outstanding resort and work on each of y'all's relationships. This retreat will be fun, but it will also test the waters a little bit. If you want each of your relationships to work, then y'all will fight for it. Now enjoy this breakfast, and after while, we'll introduce you all to your therapist."
