Omniscient
Walking in the restaurant, Monique looked around, and then she spotted Andre. She walked very slowly to the table because he didn't notice her. The place smelled like seafood and drinks, and Monique didn't like the smell, but she didn't want to go anywhere else. She looked at Andre who was laughing at something on his phone. He totally had Monique's features and her personality. Monique wondered why her real father was kept a secret all of her life. Today she was going to find out the truth. Monique hoped once she left, that she will get the answers she deserves.
Andre looked at Monique, and put his phone down. "Oh shit Monique, I'm sorry I didn't see you."
"It's cool." Monique said as she sat down. "I'm glad you sat us back where the heat at cause it gets cold."
"Facts! I'm more of a heat person anyways so I didn't wanna sit nowhere in the middle." Andre said taking a sip of his sweet tea. He texted Monique earlier and asked her what she wanted to drink and she ended up wanted an Arnold Palmer. Monique took a sip of her drink before looking up at Andre. It was weird looking at him because she always thought her father was dead. So for her dad to be alive, it was something new for Monique.
"Ohh great, she's here." The waitress said. "I'm Sierra, and I'll be taking care of you two today. I see that y'all have drinks, so can I start y'all with a starter or are y'all ready to order?"
"I'm ready to order." Monique said.
"Yeah, me too." Andre added.
"Alright. What can I get you?" Sierra asked Monique. Monique wanted the seafood platter plate which consisted of 3 cluster of king crab, hell of a shrimp, hush puppies, and fries. Andre decided to get chicken strips and fries. Once Sierra wrote it down, she smiled and walked off.
"She seemed nice." Andre said.
"A little bit too nice." Monique laughed. "August said people like that are gay as hell, and I be telling him that it don't be the case in most cases, but August doesn't care."
Andre laughed. "I feel the same way, but I mean I don't know. Whatever they is ain't got shit to do with me. I'm happily married with 4 kids."
"Married?" Monique questioned.
"Yes Monique. I'm happily married to a beautiful woman name Patricia. Me and Pat been married for almost 10 years. She accepted that I had kids before her, and she stuck by my side through everything. I don't know if you remember, but the night you called me there was a woman in the background and it was her." Andre stated.
"Here's some hush puppies for you two until your food gets here." Sierra said placing the basket in the middle of the two. She smiled once again, and walked off.
"Yeaaah, she might be on the happy HAPPY side seriously." Andre laughed before getting a plate to put his hush puppies on. Monique did the same as she chuckled.
