Monique
I woke up out of my sleep to loud yelling and screaming.
"I hate being woke up out of my sleep," I mumbled as I got out of my bed to see what's going on.
"Man ma get the fuck off my back...you don't care bout nobody but yourself anyways dude," Alontae said.
Slap!
"Oh shit," I mumbled.
"DONT YOU DARE TALK TO ME LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN! I AM YOUR MOTHER AND YOU WILL RESPECT ME!" Anita yelled.
"I don't know who you are," Alontae threw his hands up and grabbed his coat and walked out the house.
"Damn mama, why you said that to him?" Amya asked.
"Because just like him, you, your 2 sisters and your other brother, all of y'all will respect me! If you think you grown, be grown! But not in my house!" Anita said.
I heard her coming upstairs, and her eyes locked with mines and she shed some tears and hugged me. I hugged her back.
"It's going to be okay mama Nita. I love you," I said truthfully.
"I love you too baby." Anita said back to me.
Mama Nita went upstairs, and shut her door quietly. I wanted to go in there, and ask her about my real mother but I knew that I wasn't going to get answers. I don't even know her name. The only thing I know is that she's from New Orleans. So much for information.
I did want to ask her could I skip school tomorrow. I wanna at least try to dig some dirt about my mother. I even tried to ask my dads family do they know my mom, but when I ask them, they immediately go to another conversation.
I just hope one day I get to find to find my mother.
Tuesday Morning
"Mama Nita, can I stay home today? I lowkey don't wanna go to school?" I asked Anita.
"Fuck you don't wanna go to school for Nique? It's the second day," my brother Ahmad said.
"Watch your damn mouth boy!" Mama Nita said.
(A/N - throughout the story she's going to be calling Anita by her name & mama Nita... you'll understand soon 🥰)
