Loki's trial was a few days ago, and I had barely left my room, let alone sleep.

"Jessica breakfast is in the banquet hall in an-"

"I'm already awake," I said plainly as I sat at my desk, tweaking with a sword I had been working on for training.

"Oh, well what are you working on?"

"It's a sword, but it's retractable, and if I made it correctly it should cut through anything," I smirked as I put a small emerald into the top of the handle.

"Why would you need that with your powers you shouldn't have need for a weapon," he asked as I used my magic to channel through it as it became coated with ice, and the carving of a phoenix began to glow an icy blue.

"It's my mjolnir, it only works for me," I smiled as it folded into itself, and became the size of one of my daggers.

"How long did that take you to make?"

"A few days, and nights I haven't slept well since the battle," I shrugged as I put the dagger into a special sheath, and buckled the leather belt around my waist.

"Also these whatever they become," I said, putting the bracelets on my wrists, and the other two on my ankles as I pressed a button on my AI bracelet, and they folded out, covering me in armor like Tony's but more fitting and less bulky.

"You should wear that to training," he smiled as I nodded, and took it off again.

"First I have to shower and change, but I'll be there in a bit," I smiled as he nodded and left.

"I got ready quickly, showering, and doing my hair into a braid since whatever was in asgardian shampoo made my hair grow quickly, and did slight, nude makeup before getting into a t-shirt and leggings, and grabbing my training stuff before running to the banquet hall.

"You're late," Thor said as we opened the doors, walking in together.

"I didn't mean to be," I sighed as we sat down with his friends.

"Since this is your first time actually coming to breakfast, and none of these four are at other meals. Jessica I'd like you to meet the warriors three Fandral, Hogun and Volstagg, also Lady Sif," he said as I smiled with a firm nod before sitting down.

"So you're Loki's daughter," Sif asked as I nodded, not really hungry, but thinking I should at least try to live a life here.

"Yes, my mother died when I was a baby so my uncle raised me on midgard," I said as I looked at my hands resting in my lap.

"Her uncle is the man of iron I've told you all about," Thor said as I felt the feeling of a panic attack hit out of nowhere, giving me barely any time.

"Excuse me for a minute," I excused myself as I quickly walked into the hallway, hiding behind a poll as I broke down, my heart racing and my breathing sharp.

"Jessica dear are you alright I saw you rush out," Frigga's sweet voice asked as she came up next to me, and I tried to act fine.

"Sweet child, you need not act different around me, I know your heart is aching, and you may leave if you like," she said, giving me a gentle smile as she wrapped me in a hug.

"It's just... I've never really been away from my uncle on purpose, and I can't even close my eyes anymore without seeing the horrors of the battle, and I just... I don't feel like I belong here," I sighed as she stood up, putting her hand out.

"Come," she smiled as I took her hand, and she showed me to a room I hadn't yet seen.

"Where are we," I asked as I looked around the empty, dark room as the door shut.

"This was your mother's safe place, she learned how to use her magic in here, and she learned how to fight using only your ears," she said as I heard a small clanking noise, and pulled out my sword, my eyes glowing a path as I looked around the room.

"Frigga I don't like this," I said worriedly as I launched myself upwards, coming back down as a strong burst of green energy coated the room.

"You have natural instincts, that's good for battle."

"I don't like to fight but I do it to protect those I love, and the world," I said as I walked out the door.

"Jessica, are you ready for training," Thor asked as he stopped me in the hall.

"Be there in a bit, I just have something to do," I said as he nodded, and I walked into my room, grabbing a notebook, a pen, and my cloak before heading to the dungeons.

"Come back so soon," Loki smirked as he looked up from his book, and I sat outside his cell, pulling my hood down.

"I don't think I can stay here honestly, I just needed answers and so far I haven't gotten a wink of sleep in a week, I'm tired, in pain and...and I just want to go home to my family," I sighed as Loki moved closer to the wall.

"What kind of answers are you looking for?"

"I just want to know more about you, and mom, so far everything I have just doesn't add up right," I sighed as he nodded.

"Well for starters I'm the God of Mischief, and a Jotun, I can shape shift, manipulate minds, read minds, and I can use Asgardian magic," he said as I wrote it all down.

"What about mom," I asked as he sighed, and a smile grew on his face.

"She was the Goddess of Protection, she was kind, caring, just amazing personality. She always put others first, and her smile lit up a room. When Odin named her the goddess of protection he gave her wings like an angel, and she had speed like no other, but she could also use Asgardian magic, and manipulate water. She was a true gem, we almost named you Ruby actually," he smiled as I looked up to see him smiling a true smile while looking at the wall in rememberance.

"She sounds amazing," I smiled as he let out a small laugh.

"She truly was, and she always saw the good in everything around her," he added as his eyes turned to me.

"You remind me a lot of her in that way," he said as I smiled back at him, knowing just talking about her gave him pain.

"She was the first woman that ever chose me over Thor," he added as I looked down at my notes.

"Tell me everything about her," I said as I closed the notebook, and leaned against the cell wall.

"Have I ever told you how we met?"

"No," I said as he looked me dead in the eyes, and smiled.

"I went down to Midgard one day, just curious of it I guess from all the stories I had read, and I actually saw her sitting on the beach, her feet in the water, and she was watching the sunset by herself. I went up to her and I remember talking to her for hours before she looked at me for the first time. She asked if she knew me, and I said it wasn't possible, she laughed, the most infectious laugh I'd ever heard as she offered to buy me a drink and talk more. I decided a few days later to ask her if she would go back to Asgard with me, and she agreed," he finished as I smiled with a small chuckle.

"That's cheesy if I ever heard of the word," I teased as he laughed.

"Yes well turns out that led to something good," he said smiling at me as I nodded, and heard footsteps.

"I'm leaving tomorrow, but I'll make sure to say goodbye before I do," I said as he sighed with a nod, and I teleported to the training grounds.
