*Jessica's POV*

I felt terrible for Tony, did he really become this protective because of me?

"Hey Jess what are you thinking about," he asked as we walked to his room.

"Everything I guess, it's weird," I scoffed as he nodded.

"I know this is all weird....and new, but I want to do whatever I can to make sure you feel safe, and  at home here," he said as it was my turn to nod.

"I know, and I've only been here a day, please don't rush it, and quit stressing yourself out it's giving me a headache," I giggled as he smiled at me.

"I take I you know what your powers are," he asked as I shook my hand in a kinda movement.

"Alright well we can work on that tomorrow before we leave."

  "Leave? where are you going?"

"Fury wants us to track down all the Hydra bases, and after what they did to you I would gladly do it myself," he said as we finally approached his door, and he opened it to a clean black and white themed room.

"Wait on the bed I'll be right back," he said as I nodded, and flopped onto his bed, my eyelids growing heavy as soon as I did.

"Alright, here they are," he smiled as he came out with a large box full of books.

  "Books?"

"Not just books, your favorite books, and old yearbooks, maybe with how smart you are you put something in one of them in case you forgot something," he suggested as I quickly started taking the books out.

"You sure I was a normal teen girl I mean really Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, what kind of kid was I," I laughed as I kept digging through, finding a box with a school symbol on it.

  "What's this?"

"Oh, that's your prom queen crown, it was almost the entire grade that voted for you," he smiled as I opened the box, and placed the crown on my head gently, standing up to look in the mirror.

"Unhand her she's the princess of Asgard," the loud, deep voice boomed through my head as I looked at myself in the mirror again to see Tony with his hand on my shoulders.

"What happened to my arms," I asked with tears in my eyes as he sighed.

"People always bullied you until your sophomore year, and that was when you had your so called glow up, you became popular, captain of the cheer squad, quit basketball, started skateboarding, worked as a paid intern in the lab with me, you promised you'd never hurt yourself again," he sighed as I looked at my arms before quickly turning around and hugging him tightly.

  "I'm so sorry Tony I-"

"Don't be, if I had answered when you called none of this would have happened," he said as I felt a single tear fall onto my shoulder.

"Don't you blame yourself for my mistakes, you were the best thing that happened to me," I said as he hugged me tighter.

"Well I won't have to think about that ever again because I'm not letting anything happen to you again," he sighed as I pulled away, and looked into his red eyes.

"I'm going to get some sleep, but I'll uh, I'll see you in the morning," I smiled, the memory I had from when I picked up the crown playing on repeat.

"Alright, yeah kid I'll see you in the morning," he repeated as I walked out, going to my room. I got in there, and immediately crawled into my bed, pulling the heavy, black duvet over my head as I closed my eyes.

I tried to sleep, but when I fell asleep I woke up in a matter of seconds so sleep was not in my favor. I got angry after about two hours, angrily throwing the duvet off me with a heavy sigh before wrapping myself in a fluffy green house coat and going to the kitchen. I grabbed some leftover pizza, and walked to the lounge, sitting on the couch, and turning on some late night TV show while eating the pepperoni pizza.

I was about half finished with the slice when a loud thud came from the built-in runway.

"What the hell," I huffed before making my way to the door before it opened, so naturally I hid in the darkness, becoming seemingly invisible in it. I watched from my hiding spot as a tall, buff man with blonde hair dressed in armor walked through, and when I saw an opening I attacked, jumping onto his shoulders, and wrapping my arm around his throat.

"Who are you and why are you here," I growled as he pried at my arm, trying to throw me off him.

"Jessica it's me... Thor," he said as I tightened my arm.

"I don't know you," I growled as he finally threw me off, and I slid across the floor. I quickly got back up, and threw my robe off before using my powers to hoist him into the air.

"You do know me, don't make me hurt you," he said with a sad tone as I threw him into the floor, breaking the marble.

"Hard way it is then," he sighed as he threw the hammer in his hand at me, but to his surprise I caught it, looking him dead in the eyes as the team came into the room. I was radiating green and lightning, and my eyes were glowing a deep green as I flew up, getting ready to hit Thor with all I had as Steve jumped in front of him.

"Jessica stop, he's good," Steve said nervously as I saw what looked like pure fear in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry I-" I started before slowly letting myself down as Steve's chest heaved.

"What was that," Thor asked from behind him, but when I turned towards Tony, Nat, Bruce and Clint they all backed up.

"I don't even know," Steve mumbled back as I dropped the hammer, and ran to my room, locking myself in as I slid down the door with tears in my eyes.

"They have reason to fear you, you have the power to destroy them, tear them apart unlike Loki could have ever possibly imagined," the memory of a tall, bald man with a single eye glass, and a thick accent said as he towered over me, unable to move ran through my head as I held my head in my hands, the anxiety and stress hitting like a train.

"Jess, you okay in there," Steve's voice came through the door, but I couldn't even form words.

"Jess open the door," Tony's worried voice rang as I tried to control my breathing, but I was growing dizzier by the second. I was just trying to breathe at all.

"Jess, alright I'm coming in," Tony said as the world faded, and my eyes grew heavy.

"Tony wait, we don't know where she is in there," I heard Steve's muffled voice before the door opened harshly, and I closed my eyes.

*Steve's POV*

Tony unlocked the door, and swung it open harshly as I saw her laying on the floor with her eyes closed, surrounded by a green glowing orb of her magic.

"Tony," I said, running towards the orb, hitting it as threw me into the wall.

"Tony we need to get her out of there," I said as I picked myself up off the floor.

"I know, Jess wake up please," he begged as he walked up to the orb, touching it gently as it turned to ice.

  "Stark what did you do?"

"I just-" he started as I walked up to it, punching it again as it shattered, and I picked her up, carrying her to the med bay.

"Wake up Bruce, we need to make sure she's stable," I said as I laid her on one of the hospital beds, and brushed her hair from her face before checking for a pulse.

"It's faint but it's there," I sighed before feeling her cold forehead, it was like the day I found her outside all over again.

"Will she be okay," Thor asked as he walked in with Bruce.

"We need to get her memories back, otherwise there's no telling what could happen."
