late night bites .41

"shit, shit, wake up," nini repeatedly told herself as she splashed water over her face. the girl looked at herself in the mirror as water dropped off her face, "damn it, this is real life," the girl muttered to herself.

"nini?? you okay?" ricky asked nini through the door.

"uhh!! yeahh!!" nini nervously yelled through the door, "stomach just really hurts from all that food!! HAHHAHA!!"

ricky looked at the door in front of him and sighed, "oh uhm,, okay! just take your time," was all the boy said before he walked back into the living room.

nini let out a sigh of relief and rested her head in her hands as she leaned over the sink. her and ricky's conversation replayed in her head.

"is there a booger in my nose or something?" the girl asked with a bit of embarrassment in her face.

"no," ricky chuckled, "i just like staring at you."

"mmm.. whyyy?" nini groaned as her cheeks flushed with redness.

"because i love you."

"oh..."

ricky's body stiffened and he sat up, "oh?"

nini sat up and held onto her stomach, "oh... my god?? my stomach really hurts?!? i'll be right back," the girl quickly said as she ran inside the bathroom and locked the door.

"uh- okay?"

"ugh you fucking idiot," nini said to herself as she tried to erase the conversation from her head for the tenth time again. she paced back and forth in the bathroom while she talked to herself.

"why did you say oh?"

"do you love him?

"of course, you do, fucking idiot."

"why didn't you say it back?"

"maybe because i'm scared of what will happen next?"

"will it even make a difference?? he already knows you like him??"

"but what if something bad happens."

"everything that could possibly be bad already turned out bad, what more is there to lose?"

"ugh, good point."

"you should've said it back."

"ima say it back."

"okay, then go do it!"

"okay, nini. we're gonna go out there and say it back!"

"shit, how do i say it back??"

"is it already too late?"

"i hate myself so much right now," nini muttered to herself and rolled her eyes. the girl walked up to the door and let out a deep breath before opening it. she walked into the living room to with no sight of ricky. the girl titled her head and walked around the house more and finally saw ricky in the kitchen.

"hey," she simply said while ricky rummaged through the fridge, "hungry again...?"

ricky got up and turned around to see nini standing behind the island. she had an innocent smile on her face. the boy closed the refrigerator door and gave nini an awkward nervous, "yeah i uh, tend to eat when i get uh... nervous."

awkward tension.

"uh anyways! is your stomach feeling better?" ricky asked the girl. he walked over to the counter and picked up a glass of water, "got some water for you. i don't know how much it'll help but hopefully it does something," ricky nervously said and handed the glass of water to the girl.
