"RICKY," nini yelled at the top of her lungs. his car was upside down in the middle of the road. gina stopped the car and the three of them stared at ricky's car with shock and horror. benjamin started to slow down. nini unlocked the car door and opened it.

"NINI," dana yelled but the girl didn't care. benjamin suddenly stopped the car and nini ran out as fast as she could to get to ricky.

gina, seb, and carlos all got out of the car. they watched from afar as nini ran to ricky's car. the girl slowly approached the car and inspected how bad the accident was.

his windshield was shattered. ricky's door came off and both of the headlights were out. all of the windows were either shattered or cracked. nini felt tears start streaming down her face. ricky was still sitting down in his seat. his seatbelt was wrapped around his body. the boy's body hung from the top.

"ricky ..." nini whispered as she looked at the poor boy. he had blood running down the side of his head and his eyes were closed shut. nini put her hand over her mouth as she stared at him with shock.

"nini .." ricky groggily said as he opened one eye.

"oh my god, ricky, love," nini quickly said and held ricky's face in her hands. she trailed her hands along his face, careful not to touch any blood or cuts, "i'm g-gonna get you out of here, alright? just .. just h-hold on." the girl couldn't compose herself.

"neens ... y-you need to g-go," ricky lazily said, falling in out and of conscience.

"i'm not gonna leave you in here," nini told ricky as she tried her best to help him get out of the car. all of a sudden a fire sparked in ricky's engine. the girl's heart dropped and she tried even harder to get him out.

nini started to unbuckle ricky from his seat. the girl struggled to get his body out of the car, "HELP! HELP!" nini yelled as tears streamed down her face. she kept using the back of her hand to wipe away her tears so that she could see clearly.

gina started to run towards the car but carlos and seb pulled her back, "GINA DON'T!" carlos yelled as he yanked his bestfriend back. all three of them had tears running down their face as they watched the fire get bigger and bigger.

"NINI! NINI" benjamin and her moms repeatedly yelled, "GET OUT OF THERE NINI!"

ricky woke up again and saw the fire. he looked at nini and watched as the girl was sobbing but was still trying her best to help the boy get out of the car, "UGH, FUCK! fuck fuck," nini repeatedly yelled. she couldn't think clearly and her mind was scrambling.

the boy put his hands over nini's to stop her from helping him, "nini.. go. please."

"i-i cant, ricky, i can't leave you here," nini sobbed. another fire burst out and it started to spread throughout the car. ricky and nini felt their skin get hot but the girl stayed put.

"nini! i can't let you stay here," ricky cried and looked down at his legs. he looked back up at nini's eyes and shook his head, "i'm stuck, neens. t-there's no use. please. please go. please."

the girl just cried even more and shook her head. the fire was getting closer and closer. the more it grew the more anxious everyone else was getting.

seb pulled carlos and gina even further away from the car. the boy had tears running down his face as he came to the realization of what was going to happen. benjamin, carol, and dana all had tears in their eyes as they helplessly stood at the side, calling nini's name out.

nini heard an ambulance coming. the girl looked at the fire and realized it was going to be too late. ricky and nini looked at each other in the eyes. the girl pulled ricky's face close to hers and gave him one last kiss. ricky could taste the saltiness from nini's tears, but he didn't care. nini tried her best to savor the kiss before it ended. ricky pressed his forehead against nini's and held onto her hand as tight as he could.

"i love you ... i love you so much, nini," ricky gently whispered to the girl. the girl nodded her head and gave ricky a smile.

"i love you more," nini told ricky and kissed his forehead one last time.

the ambulance and fire truck finally arrived. the fire was too much. they raced out of their trucks and saw nini standing by the car as the fire was about to reach her.

"MISS, STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE NOW," they yelled out to her. nini looked up at everyone. she glanced at the firefighters, the medics, carlos, gina, seb, she was his best friend. she looked at her moms and benjamin. the girl looked back at ricky.

"till death do us part," nini whispered to ricky.

they all watched and screamed as ricky's car suddenly exploded. gina, carlos, and seb fell backwards from the impact. benjamin, carol, and dana all yelled from shock and their cries echoed the streets.

gina was the first to get up. the orange flames from the fire made a reflection in her glossy, brown eyes. the girl repeatedly yelled ricky's name as she watched the fire overtake the car. carlos and seb held onto the girl as they cried until their chest started to hurt.

the firefighters immediately started to hose down the fire, hoping for some sort of miracle. hoping that somehow the two lovebirds were okay. hoping that somehow a montague and a capulet survived. hoping that somehow one of them was alive to tell their story.

but after all, this is a tragedy.

and hope is only for fools who fall in love.
