Astrid was swinging her axe around violently in the woods. Stormfly was close by but keeping a safe distance. She was letting out two months of rage on a nearby tree. She and Hiccup had been together for twelve weeks now, and nothing had changed. Hiccup was so busy working on the Dragon Eye that he'd been too busy to spend a moment alone with her. It didn't feel any different from when they were just friends. To make matters worse, Heather and Fishlegs had announced their new relationship three weeks before and couldn't keep their hands off each other. They never spent a moment apart. But Astrid wasn't jealous. Astrid didn't get jealous. She was just... Okay, she was jealous.
Once she had let out enough anger, she returned to the clubhouse to find Hiccup, leaning over the table in the center, going over some notes from the Dragon Eye. As upset as she was, she couldn't help but smile. She loved his dedication.
"Hey..." She said softly, as she walked over to her boyfriend.
"Good afternoon, Milady." He said, not looking up from his work. Astrid hopped up onto the table and sat beside the paperwork Hiccup was rummaging through.
"What are you working on?" She asked.
"I'm trying to find a clue. Anything that might lead us to another dragon eye lense." He explained.
"Hiccup, when was the last time you slept?" Astrid asked, noticing the dark circles beginning to form under his eyes.
"I don't know. Sunday?" He continued flicking through the papers.
"Hiccup, it's Thursday!" She stated. No response. "Hiccup, you need to get some sleep."
"I don't have time to sleep, Astrid." Hiccup sighed. "We have to find the King of Dragons before Johann does. For all, we know they could have all five lenses and be on their way to the king of dragons right now."
"Hiccup, you are going to wear yourself into the ground looking for these lenses. You need a break." He ignored her statement.
Astrid brushed his messy auburn hair away from his face. He brushed her hand away as the other riders entered.
"Not now, Astrid. I need to concentrate."
Astrid looked over to Heather who was curled up in Fishlegs lap giggling. She was desperately fighting back the tears threatening to fall. She knew that finding the King of Dragons was important, but she couldn't help wishing the Hiccup would pay her at least a little attention.
She looked back down at her boyfriend who hadn't returned her gaze since she walked in. She let out a huff before hopping off the table and heading out of the clubhouse.
"Where are you going?" Heather called.
"Training," Astrid said a little too aggressively.
"Didn't you just get back from training?" Snotlout asked.
"Well, nobody needs me here." Astrid spun around folding her arms, clearly glaring at the back of Hiccup's head as he continued trying to block out the voices around him in order to focus. Astrid rolled her eyes and flew off with Stormfly.

A few hours passed and Astrid was sat at the beach on the far side of Dragon's Edge. As she sat at the very edge of the waves snapping a large twig into small pieces and throwing the smaller pieces into the ocean, she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"See, I told you she'd be here," Heather whispered.
Great, that's all Astrid needed right now.
"I thought you said you were training?" Fishlegs questioned.
"I'm taking a break. Is that not allowed?!"
"Astrid, are you okay?" Heather worried.
"I'm fine!" She snapped.
Heather gestured for Fishlegs to leave. She gave him a quick kiss before finally letting go of his hand. Once Fishlegs flew back to the outpost, Heather sat herself down beside her friend.
"Astrid, talk to me." She placed a hand on the blonde's shoulder. Astrid brushed it off before standing up and walking away.
"I'm fine, Heather. I just want to be alone." Astrid explained, which didn't make Heather worry any less.
"No, you don't. You want to be with Hiccup." Heather corrected. Astrid spun round to face the raven-haired rider but her gaze remained on the ground.
"Is it that obvious?" She asked, rubbing her arm nervously.
"It doesn't take a genius, Astrid," Heather explained. "And, you know what Hiccups like when he's got his mind set on something."
"Heather, he's gonna work himself to death," Astrid stated with a look of sheer panic across her face.
"I think he knows what he's doing," Heather reassured.
"He hasn't slept in four days!" Heather looked at her in disbelief. "And, when was the last time you saw him eat?"
"Oh gods, I think you're right." Heather agreed. "What do we do?"
"I don't know. He won't listen to me." Astrid explained when suddenly an idea crept its way into her head. "Can you get me Fishlegs Dragon Eye notes?" Heather nodded.

"Hiccup!" Fishlegs shrieked as he raced into the clubhouse, panting.
"What is it, Fishlegs? I'm a little busy." Hiccup sighed, still focused on the many papers on the table in front of him.
"Heather and Astrid! They're gone!"
