Fairy Tail quickly followed the pair, careful to not get too close to keep their cover. To their surprise, the dragons didn't seem interested in attacking the pair. (Y/N) would look up at the sky every so often, but the dragons would fly right past them.

"Strange," Levy spoke, "but I can't say I'm not relieved."

They made it to the same place where Rufus made his bridge and looked around. There was no bridge anymore, as the spell had broken. (Y/N) jumped into the river below and walked across, followed closely by Nadia as she did the same thing.

"Ew. They don't mind walking in that?" Lucy questioned.

Fairy Tail went to jump in when Gray quietly made a bridge with his ice. They quickly crossed so the bridge wouldn't draw attention to them and continued to follow the pair. Nadia was excitedly bouncing as she rambled.

"I can't wait to see dad. I bet that Magnolia will be super cool! I wonder if the tree grew back. Do you think it did? Seeing the rainbow tree would be killer. I never got to see it before. We should totally go check it out. Do you think dad remembered the tree?"

Once again, Fairy Tail's heads were spinning, trying to take in everything that Nadia was saying.

"Damn she talks a lot," Gajeel complained.

"This is gonna be so cool," Natsu excitedly spoke. "I wonder how many dragons I could take. I bet I can take on more than Sting that's for sure."

They all heard a roar, and everyone froze. (Y/N) looked up to the sky and watched as a dragon landed a couple hundred feet in front of them. She pulled Nadia behind her protectively as she stared the dragon down.

"Well hello there, humans. I can't wait to have a snack."

(Y/N) got into a fighting position and waited for the dragon to make the first move. The dragon laughed loudly before he swiped at them with his talon. (Y/N) jumped out of the way and landed on the dragon's back. She punched the back of the dragon's neck and jumped off as the dragon fell to his knees. Her fist glowed a faint yellow and she punched the dragon's stomach, breaking the scales surrounding the spot.

"No way," Cana admired. "How are her fists strong enough to do that?"

(Y/N) punched the dragon again, and he slid backwards a couple feet.

"Now Nadia!"

At her mother's command, Nadia sent a stream of fire at the dragon's stomach. Everyone looked and immediately recognized the spell as Natsu's Roar. The dragon roared in pain and quickly retreated back to the sky. Nadia's eyes twinkled.

"Did you see that?! I totally scared a dragon away. I told you I was getting stronger. Soon all the dragons will be afraid of me like they are of Uncle Laxus and you and dad. I'm gonna be the next strongest Fairy Tail wizard. I'm gonna be stronger than Alex and Bruce and--"

"Shh. You don't wanna attract any dragons."

"Oh, right. Sorry."

The group followed (Y/N) and Nadia to a familiar town gate, signalling that they had arrived at Magnolia. Fairy Tail looked around and turned to each other in confusion.

"This is Magnolia?" Gray broke the silence. "It looks...bad."

The buildings were all crumbled, the streets were full of rubble and dust. It was obvious that nobody had lived there in years. The colors of the town that the guild had remembered were not there anymore. It was gray, dark, forgotten. (Y/N) looked on sadly as she scanned the once lively area, but Nadia looked at it with excitement.

"Magnolia is so cool! I love how tall the buildings must've been. I can just imagine the Fantasia Parade that you all spoke of. I bet it went right through this street here!"

Lucy looked at her and guessed, "Is this state of Magnolia...all she's seen? How long has it been like this?"

Nadia and (Y/N) made their way to the center of Magnolia, and they eventually stood in front of a very familiar building: the Fairy Tail guildhall. The building itself looked broken and dull. It was dead to say the least. The sign was falling off, the walls were crumbling. There was simply no life present. (Y/N) looked on fondly as she studied the once lively structure.

"Can we go see dad now? I bet he can't wait to see us!"

(Y/N) nodded, earning a cheer from her daughter. They turned away from the guildhall, but not before (Y/N) gave one last sad look towards it. The two walked out of Magnolia Town and started near the forest. Just like the town, the forest held no creatures, and the trees were all collapsed. Fairy Tail followed, shocked at the state of Magnolia.

They arrived at a familiar place, which everyone recognized as Happy and Natsu's house. It looked untouched by the outside chaos. The walls were still (kind of) intact, the colors were still there. There was no debris around it like there was in the rest of Magnolia. They saw that familiar furniture through the window, and even that looked like nothing had gotten to it. Nadia whipped open the door and sprinted inside, jumping on the couch and sitting with her legs crossed. (Y/N) softly closed the door and stepped inside. She dropped her cloak by the door and joined Nadia on the couch.

"Do you think we should give dad a few minutes before we see him?"

"Do you need a few minutes before we see him?"

Nadia slowly nodded and leaned into her mother. (Y/N) wrapped her arms around her daughter and started to quietly hum as she rocked them. After a few minutes, Nadia looked up to her mother and smiled wide, saying that she was ready. She jumped up from the couch and made her way over to the front door again. Fairy Tail and panicked before rushing to the side of the house. The pair exited the house and turned to go behind it. Everyone peeked from around the corner and discretely followed them to the back. Nadia smiled and stood in the middle of the small yard.

"Hi dad."

They looked around and didn't see future Natsu anywhere, so they became very confused as to who she was talking to. Makarov was the first one to spot it, and his heart broke. Standing there at Nadia's feet was a marked stone with Natsu's name on it.
