A typical day greeted (Y/N). Zeref had not come to take her back into the forest, and for that she was thankful. She continued to talk to herself, as she had done many times before. It was the only way to keep herself sane, she decided. As she whispered affirmations to the air, a loud bang was heard from outside the cave. (Y/N) braced herself for whatever was out there, but as soon as the bang sounded, silence took over.

The chains seemed to tighten as she forced herself up. Upon seeing a shadow of a person enter the cave, she had quickly prepared for the rough handling by the Black Wizard.

Confusion flooded over both (Y/N) and the young man who entered the cave. (E/C) eyes widened, fear slowly taking over her instincts. And so, she immediately backed up further into the cave.

"Who're you?" The boy asked, thoroughly confused. "Are you a part of Fairy--"

"Stay back!"

The boy looked at her curiously, and it was then that he noticed the presence of the chains wrapped around her feet.

"Uh, are you, like, okay?"

"You need to stay back. It's not safe here."

He took another slow step forward, causing her to shout again.

"Why do I need to stay back? What's wrong?"

"If you don't stay back then I'll kill you."

"Hey! You can't just go around threatening--"

"It's not a threat. I'm trying to warn you so you don't die. Please. Just stay back."

"Will you at least tell me who you are and what you're doing here?"

"My name is (Y/N), and I'm here to...train."

"You're not allowed to be on this island unless you're a Fairy Tail wizard."

(Y/N)'s heart raced when she heard the familiar steps making their way towards the entrance.

"You need to leave."

"No," the boy argued, "you need to leave."

"I'm not allowed to leave. Please."

"Natsu, where are you?" Another voice shouted.

(Y/N) gasped when she saw a little blue tail flying by the cave, and she immediately slapped her hands over her eyes as she continued to shout at the boy.

"What's up with you?"

"Please leave," she begged, now starting to cry. "Please."

"Why are you in chains?" He asked, completely ignoring her pleas.

"Please," she whimpered. "Please."

Natsu heard steps coming, and upon sensing the familiar magic radiating off the presence, he threw one last look towards the chained girl and snuck out undetected. Zeref entered a minute later, tossing a piece of meat to her feet.

"Eat. We have training to do."

(Y/N) wiped her tears and grabbed the meat, slowly nibbling on what was handed to her. The black haired man gave her five minutes before he reached over to the chain, roughly unclipping them from her ankles and pointing towards the entrance to the cave.

"We'll be doing something different today."

"No animals?" (Y/N) questioned, hope in her voice.
