"Why won't you tell me?" Natsu pressed.
"It will change your actions."
Natsu screamed in frustration and angrily pointed at her. Nadia looked between them and stepped in front of her mother.
"No fighting! We have to focus on the dragons!"
"Nadia, you are not fighting a dragon."
"But mom," she whined. "That's the whole point of--"
"The point is to return to our time. The only reason I'm even entertaining the idea of fighting a dragon relies solely on whatever time we land in next."
Nadia went to argue when (Y/N) snapped her fingers, creating the air to pulse in waves of a loud bang. Her daughter, as well as the dragon slayers, held their ears and squeezed their eyes shut.
"Ow! Quit it!" Natsu yelled.
(Y/N) looked up to the sky and sighed.
"Let's get back and create the circle again."
Levy was the next person to speak up, hesitantly reminding, "Um, we still need to recover our magic energy before we attempt to cast the spell again. It's going to be about a day."
"See mom. Even Auntie Levy agrees. We should explore," Nadia chirped.
-------
"We look so sad," Lucy observed.
"These couple days surrounding now were filled with pain, suffering and loss throughout the whole guild."
"What can we do to prevent this?" Gray questioned. "There surely has to be something that won't directly affect your time."
"Unfortunately, nothing can be done to prevent this. Even if I wanted to help you, there is nothing you could've done to stop this from happening. It was a force outside of your own."
(Y/N) looked off to the side to see that Natsu and Nadia were deep in discussion, and when she clicked her tongue they jumped up.
"Nads," she chided.
"I promise I didn't say anything," the white haired girl quickly responded. "I was just talking about the adventures that we went on when I was younger."
After a silent staredown between mother and daughter, (Y/N) concluded that her daughter was telling the truth. Suddenly, her head pulsed, her heart picked up, and her ears stung. Just like before, she dropped to the ground.
"Momma!"
(Y/N) held up her hand to stop her daughter from coming closer, and she forced herself up.
"Stay here," she forced out, holding her head in one hand.
"But mom--"
"Stay," (Y/N) growled.
Before anyone could argue anymore, she had sprinted off to the forest. Everyone waited in place, too intimidated by her demand to really move. They heard a loud boom from the forest, and a couple of rabbits rushed out of the brush.
"What the hell is going on?" Laxus spoke.
-------
"We'll camp out in the forest for the night and then try to cast the spell in the morning."
"No way!" Natsu angrily interrupted. "You're telling us what happened earlier."
"Not now, Natsu."
"Yes now. I'm not the only one wondering. We all wanna know what's up before we trust you anymore."
"Dad," Nadia gasped. "You always trust her. You even said that everyone should always trust her because she has experience in, like, everything."
