It was the next morning, and the circle had been drawn. Everyone gathered around and stepped inside as Levy started the enchantment. A bright light surrounded them again, and when it died down, they were faced with the sight of Magnolia in its proper state.

"Well at least the town recovered," Lucy observed.

(Y/N) scanned the area, her eyes landing on a calendar in a shop window. She let out a breath of relief once she saw the date.

"Okay everyone," she started, "it's almost been the year. Fairy Tail should be almost ready to reunite."

"No!" Nadia shouted. "I wanted to see you and dad meet. This is so not fair, no it is not."

-------

"Okay! I'm ready to see now," Nadia chirped, twisting around so that she was walking backwards and facing her mother. "This is gonna be great! Thanks for letting us do this, mom."

"We watch from the shadows, got it?" Came (Y/N)'s stern rule.

"Of course! I'll make sure to do that, yes I will...unless I forget. But that won't happen!"

"It better not, Nads."

They heard a loud screech, and they had to quickly jump out of the way when they saw a herd of deer sprinting out of the woods. One barely missed Lucy, causing a squeak to sound from the celestial wizard. (Y/N) pressed her lips together, leading the group the long way to their target area as she tried to buy some time.

"Hey mom, I smell you! You're really close by, yes you are."

The group continued through the forest and only stopped when (Y/N) held her arm out.

"We stay back here. We mustn't be seen."

"But mom, I want to meet you."

"Listen to me, Nads. I agreed to let you see, but you can't interact. It could change things."

Nadia huffed and leaned forward from the bushes to get a better look at the scene. The others followed suit, curiosity taking over them.

A wizard that was very clearly Natsu leaned on a large boulder. His pink hair was much longer, falling past his neck. Bandages bound his arms, and he wore a black cloak. Sitting on top of the boulder was a young woman with (H/C) hair, and it was clear that she was crying.

"It's not your fault," future Natsu assured the woman. "You can't help it."

"I should be able to by now," past (Y/N) forced out. "I mean, look at what I did!"

The woman's finger pointed in the direction of the earlier stampede's source. Future Natsu sighed and planted his foot onto one of the divots in the rock, pushing himself up to join her on top of it.

"Well I think you're doing a great job so far," his voice encouraged. "The area is much smaller, right?"

"It's still dead. Everything is dead."

"Psst," Nadia whispered, poking her mother. "What are you two talking about?"

"Nothing," came (Y/N)'s quick response. "Nadia, please stay quiet."

The pair sat on the rock, and from afar, everyone had to squint to see that future Natsu was holding onto the woman's hand tightly.

"Well I think it's getting late," future Natsu observed, "so why don't we check out for the night. We can catch some fish in that pond nearby."

"Natsu, (Y/N)!"

Future Happy came into view, and he did a loop in the air before landing on past (Y/N)'s head.
