(Y/N) froze, recognizing the all too familiar presence. She did not dare to look back, too afraid that she would be wrong. But that all changed with one word.
"Dad!"
The cloak he wore seemed to be the only thing separating the family from uniting. Lucy released Nadia, too full of shock to hold on any longer, and Nadia wasted no time throwing herself into her father's open arms.
"Dad," she sniffled, "I knew you'd come back. I just knew it, yes I did."
Future Natsu rubbed the back of her head comfortingly, holding her tight as she started to shake and cry.
"It's nice to see you too, Nads."
Upon hearing her nickname, another wave of tears surfaced. Everyone said it. But her father was the one to come up with it, and it seemed completely overwhelming to the girl.
"...Natsu?"
"Hi there!" He chirped. "I see you still got it."
(Y/N), no matter how hard she tried, collapsed to the ground in her own fit of tears. Natsu chuckled and let go of Nadia, standing up straight again and making his way over to the (E/C) eyed woman and crouching beside her. When he waved her closer, she crawled close enough so he could encase her with his arms.
"How are you here?" She forced out through her cries.
"Dunno. I think someone might have defeated the dragon that killed me. Who killed that one?"
Future Natsu pointed over to the scarlet dragon, its wings tinted a light yellow. Nadia gasped and looked back to her father.
"That dragon? Really?"
"Yeah. You never forget the thing that kills you," he groaned.
Nadia started to hop from one foot to the other in a fit of pure joy.
"What's up, Nads? Gotta pee?"
"I totally beat that dragon, yes I did!"
"Well then," her father laughed, "looks like you prevented my death. Which is helpful, considering the outlandish and extremely dangerous plan you're attempting."
"I told her we could do it, yes I did...unless we can't. But now I'm sure we can!"
"Well then we better end this before everyone runs out of magic energy. Lucy and Laxus came to help, but with this many dragons at the same time, they also have limits."
"I can't wait to introduce you to everyone. They'll love you...unless they won't. But there's no way they wouldn't!"
"So we should go right for the Gate, yeah?"
"Of course! You can totally destroy the Gate. You're more powerful than anyone in the world!"
Future Natsu chuckled and started to push Nadia towards the Gate. (Y/N) picked herself up and limped over to follow them. They were met with a group of Fairy Tail wizards, namely Makarov and Mavis, followed by a bunch of the others excluded from Team Natsu and Laxus. Cana was the first to speak up. Well, not really speak. Just a loud 'huh?' followed by a confused stare.
"Yo!"
"My child," Makarov started, "is that really you? The future version of our Natsu?"
"You bet!"
"Why're you here?" Gajeel wondered out loud.
"Well I obviously came to stop the dragons," Natsu stated matter-of-factly.
"That's not what he meant," Mavis corrected. "You're dead in the future."
"I totally kicked a dragon's ass, and it so happened to be the dragon that hurt my dad, so now he's not dead! Isn't that, like, totally killer?"
