When the light subsided, they were faced with the cold of Mount Hakobe.
"Why did we have to teleport here?" Future Lucy whined. "It's too cold."
"Well I guess we better hurry over to the guild then," future Natsu chuckled. "Let's go!"
Nadia bounced around and grabbed her parents' hands, dragging them through the snowy mountain range.
"Where're we going?" Gray questioned.
"We're going back to the guildhall, yes we are. I can't wait to see everyone! I bet Auntie Mira and Uncle Gildarts and Auntie Lisanna and--"
"Nads," (Y/N) laughed, "let's focus on getting there before we start with our greetings."
Future Laxus guided them through the peaks and down the slope, and they were encountered by a group of Vulcans. The older lightning mage sighed, bringing down his fist into the snow and sending bolts of lightning up from their feet, successfully scaring them off.
"Woah," Nadia breathed, "what was that? It looked like a monkey. Uncle Laxus totally beat them really quick, yes he did."
"They're called Vulcans," future Happy explained. "They were really common on this mountain."
"Let's get moving," future Laxus mumbled. "I don't really feel like being introduced to any more Vulcans. One group is enough."
"Hey dad, what does the future look like? Do you know?"
"Well," future Natsu playfully mocked thought, "I guess you'll just have to see for yourself."
They descended Mount Hakobe, all shaking off the chill, and made their way to Magnolia.
"Why're we going back to Magnolia? Shouldn't we be heading towards the plains?"
"In the future," future Natsu informed, "we didn't have to move the guildhall to the plains. All the dragons are gone, which means Magnolia wasn't destroyed."
"We get to see Magnolia?" She screamed.
Future Natsu chuckled and tapped his daughter's head before pushing her in the direction of the town.
"I can't wait to tell Kenai about all the stuff we did! He'll love it, yes he will. And Alex is gonna be so happy with Auntie Mira around again. And then--"
"Shh," (Y/N) laughed. "Don't cause an avalanche or we'll never make it back."
Nadia immediately covered her mouth to silence herself, and she fell back a bit so that she was walking next to her father.
"Dad," she whispered, "do we live in Magnolia?"
Future Natsu grinned wide and gave a happy nod.
"No way!" Nadia shouted, completely forgetting the need to be quiet. "Do we live in your house? Is there room? Do I have my own room? What--"
Future Natsu chuckled at his daughter's energy and looked back at (Y/N) with a twinkle in his eyes. (Y/N) rolled her eyes.
"Dragneels," she sighed.
Father and daughter let out devilish laughs, causing future Laxus to groan.
"If I even see one thing broken when I get back, you're both dead."
"But Uncle Laxus, I would never--"
"Dead. Got it, pipsqueak?"
"Yes, sir!"
The walk back was relatively normal. Well, as normal as a walk with a newly reunited and chaotic pair would be. When they stepped foot into Magnolia, Nadia's eyes darted around the place to take in the new sights. It was true. Magnolia was now that bright and happy place that she had always heard about growing up. The trees were green, there were so many flowers and animals. Townspeople. Shops. Peace.
