When we were out of the room Thomas started shouting: „are you crazy y/n I told you to just let go of ben. He got stung and he's suffering. You can't help him anymore. If you had say one word more, you would also sleep in the pit this night." He looked at me worried when he saw some tars rolling down my face. „Hey it's not your fault ok? You can't prevent when someone got stung. We just can spare him from suffering. And alby shouted because he also lost his sister because of a griever." I looked him shocked in the eyes. „What?" Thomas sighed: „Yeah she wanted to be a runner and one day she wasn't on time and the doors closed. But she survived a night in the maze and the next day she came out with some wounds. Clint bandaged her up and and she seemed fine but then after a few days she started acting weird and we saw, that her whole body was covered with veins and her wound weren't healing. She went trough the changing and alby wanted to help her but it got worse and worse every day. And the one day Newt and Gally had to banish her and Alby said, that next time only people with an experienece are allowed to enter the maze and if they got stung we have to banish them immediantly before it could get any worse. That's why Alby made that decision." I nodded and looked down. „I'm so sorry I didn't knew that he had experiened something like that. I can understand, why he behaved like that." „Ok I think you just take some rest and I'll go back in there. Because I think they'll need some help with the banishment." I nodded and went in my room. After a few minutes, I walked out and saw how Minho helt ben. He was tied up. I think Ben should know, that this was not his fault, so I decided to walk towards the doors, where the banishment took place. Newt threw a bag with some food and some water into the maze, so Ben could survive one night in there before he loses his humanity completly. Minho cut of the rope around bens hands. He said sadly: „Ben of the runners, you've benn sentenced to banishment for hurting another glader." I flinched when I arrived ther and heard the sound of the giant doors closing. The boys were standin in a circle around Ben and helt some long sticks at him and startd walking towards gim while pushing him towards the doors. He tried to defend himself but the boys kept pushing him and he was shouting and begging. He was on the other side of the maze and starred at me. I started crying and the doors were closed. Newt looked at the boys and said: „ He belongs to the maze." , after he saw me he came to me and asked me: „ what are you doing here? You weren't supposed to see that love. I thought, thomas took you to your room." „Newt I'm not made of glass. I'm not fragile." „I know y/n. But it was your fist banishment and the first time is always the hardest." „Newt?" , I hesitated, „Yes love?", I kept going, „I want to be a runner."
