MINAKO'S POINT OF VIEW

We made our way towards the bridge that would cripple the Hidden Stone village if it was destroyed. The journey there wasn't too horrible because I was talking with Obito the entire time. Kakashi was too serious and Rin was focused on him so of course that left us two. Minato was busy guiding us where we need to go. Minato had Kakashi lead after a while since he had a mini mission he needed to complete on his own.

"Man, Kakashi is always way too serious. I am just itching to fight him." Obito snickered to me. I rolled my eyes and let out a small smile.

"Alright there Obito."

We reached a clearing where we were met with an enemy ninja. A man with mousey dirty blond hair ambushed us and pulled out a katana.

"Leaf scum. Prepare to die." The man growled. I pulled out two kunai and formed a thin line of chakra over them. Kakashi pulled out his blade as well and we defended the group.

"Obito come help!" I yelled to him. Obito was frozen in fear and Kakashi snickered.

"Pathetic. An Uchiha that feels fear. We need to focus on the mission! Stop being worried for your comrades, you must focus on the mission!" Kakashi spat. Obito then growled but still cowardly hid. I turned my attention towards the enemy and began to defend. The ninja quickly came at me before I kicked him in the face, causing him to fly back. I summoned chakra chains to try and hold the ninja down but he dodged it skillfully. Kakashi threw kunai to change his trajectory which landed him right into my waiting chains. I held him down while Kakashi charged up electricity in his hand.

"Chidori!" The man screamed as the electricity pierced him and he fell to the ground, lifeless. Kakashi swayed and I quickly caught him before he fell.

"Are you okay?" I asked him. He nodded tiredly as I supported his weight. I called over Obito to carry him and Rin to check on him.

"He's fine, it's just exhaustion." Rin stated as she felt his forehead. I nodded and adjusted Kakashi on Obito's back.

"Mina, I'm sorry-" Obito started but I interrupted.

"It's okay. We ended up alright didn't we? Now I'll assume the leading position since Kakashi is out. Let's find shelter, the sun is about to set, ya know." My team nodded and I scoped out the area before finding a natural canopy under the trees.

"We'll rest here. Minato will meet up with us shortly." I informed them since I felt his familiar chakra nearby. We set up a sleeping area for us and took out our water containers to drink a little. Minato arrived soon after and I set up a defensive barrier with my chakra chains. Minato nodded at me in approval before lecturing Obito on being a coward and Kakashi for wasting his chakra. Eventually Kakashi and Rin fell asleep, leaving Minato, Obito, and I to talk for the night.

"Why is Kakashi such a jerk!? He's so stuck on the rules and the mission that he always goes overboard." Obito growled. Minato and I shared a look before Minato explained somethings to Obito.

"Kakashi's father was a lot like you Obito where he believed his comrades were more important than the mission. His father's belief in that was also his downfall, failing a major mission and costing the village greatly in the meantime. Because of that, his father was disgraced and he fell into depression from regret. Kakashi lost his father because of his belief and he is convinced to never make the same mistakes he did." Obito was quiet before leaning his head on me and resting.

"I guess that explains a few things.." Obito trailed off as he looked at the stars. I felt my heartbeat quicken under Obito's touch and I leaned into him. He cuddled up and leaned into my warmth.
