Clarke's POV:
"If Lexa is telling the truth then we need to leave, NOW." I push onto a pondering Kane.
"No way. This our land, we have the guns so we can win if we stand our ground and show them we're not scared. Plus what if this is all a trap, Lexa betrayed us before what's to say she isn't doing the same thing again ." Bellamy chimes in after ease dropping. My mother and Kane feel the weight of Bellamy's words and consider the possibility.
"I know Lexa betrayed us and no one wants her dead more than me for what she did but she seemed sincere and we can't afford to not trust what she's saying." I explain.
"Clarke's right. We need to go. Dusk is almost here and even if we stayed our ammunition would run out and I'm not sacrificing the woman and children inside this camp." Kane nods at my mother to ensure he had her approval.
"But sir-" Bellamy attempts to interrupt.
"Go pack your things and go door to door to everyone in this camp. We don't want to catch the attention of the grounders as we leave. Meet your mother and I at the gate and we'll have wick find us a way out. 3 hours. That's how much time we have, go." Kane and my mother head out and begin tell the families to gather their things. Bellamy abruptly leaves annoyed and I know it's best to let him alone till he cools down. I head back to my tent where I see Finn inside.
"What the hell are you doing in here?" Annoyed that Finn is right in front of me, I shout at him.
"Your mom told me that we're leaving. I don't have anything of my own except for this spare shirt," Finn shows me the bloodstained shirt he originally wore when I found out he was alive in his hand, "sorry, I left it here and came back for it. I'll just be on my way." Finn ducks his head as he heads out. Shame floods me for being angry at him. I know he was in pain and I shouldn't be mad and I do regret the words I said to him, but he hurt me and I can't be near him right now. I gather my things and head to the nearby tents to help.
Finn's POV :
Dammit. The only thing I can do is keep hurting Clarke. My brain begins to tumble into its darkness as I walk through camp helping others pack.
"Finn! Need a walking buddy?" Raven runs to my side teasing. I missed being able to see Raven smile, after I hurt her so much. Raven and I help pack and lead others to the gates within the next 2 and a half hours to meet up with the rest. Kane's calls Raven to help distribute word of our departure, so I stand alone in the crowd with everyone staring and mumbling about me to their children. The constant ringing and hushed voices are enough to make a man go mad but I fight it, for Clarke, for Raven, and for my old self. I spot jasper in cuffs surrounded by guards seeming miserable. I make my way to him as the guards try and stop me.
"It's okay I'll be with him." The guards seem hesitant at first until Kane gives them the okay. They hand me an electric rod which I only put to my side. "Hey buddy, your hairs grown since the drop ship" I try to lighten the atmosphere between us but he only breaks into tears. Of course the mumblings about me now became about Jasper, seems Arkadians seem to enjoy gossip. I pull jasper away from the crowd to comfort him through his sorrow.
"I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened Finn, I swear to God, I lost control. I just miss Maya so much" Jasper leans into my embrace as his snot and tears mix.
"I believe you Jasper." Jasper looks up at me on confusion and disbelief. "I know you wouldn't have hurt Clarke, you're forgiven Jasper. I forgive you." I try to convince Jasper because truth being I did forgive him, he was my friend and that's not who he is.
"Dang should I get you two a room or what?" Raven approaches. Jasper and I both chuckle, for the first time the old us was back. "Cmon we're heading out through the back." Raven leads us to the loose panels behind the ship from which we all leave through. The families, guards and citizens of Arkadia sneak through the nights cover into the forest. Once we pas the trees everyone takes a breath that they've held in fear. Jasper, Raven, and I walk side by side whispering through the night to help cheer up the children in front. There soft chuckles earn us the annoyed looks from Kane.
"You know you got a staring problem right?" Raven nudges me in side as she notices me looking at Clarke and Bellamy up ahead."Shut up, this is my normal face." I snarl at raven.
"THAT'S your normal face?!?! Oof must've gotten much uglier cause I don't remember that," Jasper pokes at my face making the children in front giggle.
"Haha very funny." I laugh at Jasper, "here let's get you out of these." I pull out a knife and cut the wire around Jasper's wrist.
"You sure about this?" Jasper's eyes stay focused on his free wrist in fear.
"Yes, I trust you Jasper. You would never hurt her and it's much more comfortable to sleep without them." I joke as I lift my scared wrists up. Shouting and clashing of metal in the distance makes everyone stop dead silent.
"The grounders know we're gone. We gotta set camp before they spot us moving." Clarke insist ahead. We all gather behind trees to sleep as the sun rises. As I sit down to rest I spot Clarke resting on Bellamy across from me. It hurt seeing Clarke be happy with someone else but I knew it was the best for her. But no matter how much I pushed my emotions away, the pain of watching the girl I could not love be at peace but yet in so much pain, hurt more than any of my mortal wounds.
"Give her time Finn, she's just hurt right now." Raven speaks as she hands me a blanket and sits beside me. I nod as we fall asleep beside each other. Within what felt like minutes, a muffled scream wakes me up. The scream was not one I wished to recognize but unfortunately I knew it all to well, Clarke's. I quickly look to where Clarke was last. But the spot next to Bellamy is empty.
"Where is she?!" I shake Bellamy awake. "Where's Clarke?!"
"She was right here. Relax she probably went to the bathroom or something." Bellamy snarls at me.
"Fi-" In the distance Clarke's shouts become muffled again. Bellamy follows after me as I run into the forest looking for Clarke but the trail was lost.
"They could have gotten far. If we split up we can-" My fist crashes into Bellamy's face, cutting Bellamy off.
"You were supposed to protect her!" I shout at Bellamy before feeling and extreme pulse of electricity run through me. As I fall onto the ground the last thing I see is Kane looming over me.
"We are not animals Finn." Kane's voice fades as My eyes close.
