ALEC ROMANO

My cheeks hurt from smiling due to the night I just had with my boys.

However, the house was quiet when I got home, and it smelt of warm cookies and Amara's perfume. She must've been doing her nightly walks around the house.

I bid goodnight to Giovanni and Alec who are still giggling with their drunk-selves as I make my way up the stairs, feeling like I have two left feet as I stagger sideways.

Crashing open the first door I can find, I flick the light on, seeing a person startle awake, "Alec? What the hell are you doing?" Amara says, rushing over to me.

I smirk, eyeing her exposed midriff and short shorts, showing me her sexy legs, "Sexy legs." I spoke my mind, watching her face change, "You reek of alcohol. Are you drunk?" She questions.

I hold my index finger up to my lips, "Shhh. Secret."

I take off my shoes and then my suit jacket, unbuttoning my white shirt before discarding of it on her bedroom floor, climbing into the side where the blanket has been pushed to the side.

"Alec, what are you doing in here?" Amara sneers. I glance at her, the harsh light suddenly becoming too much for my poor eyes, "I am sleeping. Are you coming?" I pat the bed and close my eyes again, being welcomed into the blissful darkness.

"Go to your own room, Alec. That's what its there for." I shake my head and stay put, already feeling sleepy.

I hear her sigh before the light switches off and the door closes. However, as I fall asleep, I notice her presence isn't near me. I call out for her but hear no response.

Shrugging, I wave it off.

The annoying sound of feet walking up and down the hall is making my head throb and I growl, sitting up, "Whoever is making noise, shut up!" I yell down the hall, feeling slightly nauseated as I sit up, rubbing my face.

I blink once, taking over the room I'm in.

Amara's room. With no Amara? The bathroom door is slightly open and there is a few array of clothes sprinkled across her floor. Her bed smells like her.

I sighed, fatigue taking over my body as the drowsiness due to lack of sleep wanted to pull me back under the covers and never come out again.

The air was warmer as Spring approached, fast. The snow on the windowsill and the small patches of what's left on the grass was melting, making the world seem a little less grey.

"Dude? What are you doing in Amara's room?" Giovanni smirks, peeking his head through the door, "What are you doing in Amara's room?" I glare, taking in his suited figure, a rose perched in the front pocket of his suit jacket.

"Touche." He glares back, "Why are you so dressed up?" I yawn, finally leaving her room and making the descent to my room, "No reason. Just felt like looking nice today, that's all."

I shrug, shoving him out of my room before stepping into the shower, discarding of my clothes in a pile.

However, when I step out, something feel's different. Shrugging away the weird feeling, I had just tied my cufflinks when I heard her scream.

"ALEC!" My name was screamed, it echoed through the walls and bounced into my ears. I race out of the room, following the sound of murmured chatter before I stop dead in my tracks.

I pulled out my gun, cocking it and aiming at the person who is pressing a gun to Amara's head, "Miss me, Alec?" She spat.
