20//Sorrow

"Hi, little kitten." Ladybug says, they arrive around the same time. "Are you feeling better now?" She continues.

"What?" Lady Noire asks, being confused.

"Your kwami told me you were sick last akuma attack."

"Oh, I'm feeling better now. I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you." Lady Noire says, realising there's one last person she could ask what happened on the rooftop, so she continues "I hope it wasn't a hard fight, how did it go?"

"I'll tell you another time, we have to focus on this akuma first." Ladybug says, Lady Noire nods. Even though she knows Ladybug is right, she still feels a bit disappointed that Ladybug doesn't answer right away.

"So what exactly is this fog?" Lady Noire asks. The fog surrounding the villain is expanding with every passing second and every civilian is running from it.

"Don't touch it." Ladybug says, as Lady Noire was about to do so.

"Why?" She asks, taking a single step back.

"We don't know anything about it, what if it's dangerous?"

"We've been in danger before. And I'll only touch it for a few seconds, just to see what happens." Lady Noire says. Ladybug tries to stop her, but she won't listen. Lady Noire touches the fog, expecting to get attacked, but to their surprise nothing happens.

"There you are. I knew Paris' heroes would come to save everyone. If you can call yourselves a hero, that is." A voice says from the fog, making Ladybug and Lady Noire back down a few steps.

"What do you mean by that?" Ladybug asks, although she's not sure who she's talking to.

"As if you don't know. You failed to save my best friend, how can you call yourself a hero if you can't even save a single person?" The villain says, the fog starts lessening just enough for the heroes to see the villain. He doesn't look that special, the only thing that stands out are his eyes which are covered by some sort of blindfold.

Both Ladybug and Lady Noire both stiffen as they realise who got akumatised.
Miles.

"I know I can't turn back time, I wish I could. And I'm really sorry I couldn't save him, but I promise I'll save you." Ladybug says.

"Save me? You're the ones who are in need of saving. Call me Sorrow, the villain who will defeat the so-called heroes of Paris." Sorrow says, and the fog starts surrounding him again.

Lady Noire doesn't think and jumps into the fog, she knows she needs to attack Sorrow while she still knows his position. He's blindfolded, so it can't be that hard.

The fog starts closing in up to the point where she can't see anything anymore. She holds her breath, afraid this fog is poisonous and runs further through the fog.

"Lady Noire, where are you?" Ladybug shouts, she followed Lady Noire into the fog but lost her when the fog started closing in on them.

"Oh don't worry, she's still in this fog, like you. And me." Sorrow's voice spooks from behind Ladybug, she turns around to attack him, but hears a laugh in return. "That won't work. You see, I'm at a huge advantage in this fog. I can see everything that my fog touches clearly, there's no way you'll land a hit on me while we're in this." Ladybug immediately throws her yo-yo and leaves the fog. Once she's out, she calls Lady Noire, telling her to do the same. It doesn't take long until Lady Noire joins Ladybug on a random rooftop.

"I got some good and bad news. The good news is that it's possible to breathe in the fog. The bad news is that it's impossible to see anything in there." Lady Noire says upon her arrival.

"And besides all that, the villain can sense where we are if we're touching the fog." Ladybug adds.

"Do you have a plan?" Lady Noire asks her partner.

"We have to find a way to clear the fog, then we can easily release his akuma. I assume it's in the blindfold covering his eyes." Ladybug sums up, "I think it's time for my lucky charm." She throws her yo-yo in the air and a blanket falls down. She looks around, trying to find things she can use.

Lady Noire's stick. Some loose planks that lay with the trash along with tape. And the flying news helicopter.

When they finish the preparations for the plan, Lady Noire — hidden underneath the blanket — walks into the fog.

"Do you think hiding underneath a blanket will make any difference, I can still sense you're there." Sorrow says, pulling the blanket off of Lady Noire. As soon as he does, Lady Noire starts twirling her stick — on which the planks are attached — to make some sort of mill, causing the fog to twirl too.

"Now!"

Ladybug, who was flying above the fog thanks to her yo-yo and the helicopter, jumps down, taking the blindfold from Sorrow and ripping it apart.

A purple akuma comes flying out, Ladybug catches it and then releases it from her yo-yo. "So long, papillon." She says. She then gets the blanket, throws it in the air and shouts "Miraculous ladybug." repairing all the damage caused by the akuma.

"What happened?" Miles asks, looking at the two heroes who just saved him.

"You got akumatized." Lady Noire says.

Miles' expression changes from confused to shocked to guilty, "I'm sorry." He starts, but Ladybug interrupts him.

"No, don't apologise. I should be sorry. I couldn't save your best friend." Ladybug holds out her hand, Miles takes it, standing up.

"This is the first time I've seen you up close. You're still children, aren't you?" Miles asks, his eyes widen.

"How can you tell?" Ladybug asks, knowing the miraculous' magic is supposed to hide everything that can couple a holder with their identity.

"I like human anatomy, it's obvious to me now that I'm this close." Miles explains. Ladybug smiles.

"We might still be children, but we'll do anything we can to keep Paris safe. That's a promise. You're also the owner of the LadyBlog, right?" Miles nods. "Then I have one thing to ask of you. Please don't post anything on your LadyBlog about the fact that we're children. The less everyone knows about our identity, the less HawkMoth will know about us. It's best if no one knows a single thing about our identity." Miles nods, as a sign he understands.

Ladybug's earrings start beeping "Looks like it's time for me to go. See you later, little kitten." She says, swinging off.

"See you." Lady Noire responds, a bit disappointed about the fact that Ladybug didn't get the chance to tell her what happened when she got akumatized.

"I'll be off, too. Can you manage to get home by yourself?" Lady Noire asks Miles, he nods.

Lady Noire leaves the scene, knowing she has to detransform and hurry to find Autumn, she doesn't want to raise suspicion over her identity after all.
