I didn't really fit the conversation between Louis and Miles in the story and since Miles got akumatised I feel like I should write what happened, so enjoy this bonus chapter :)
"Hi Louis." Miles says as he walks into Louis' room. Louis' eyes are closed, which scares Miles at first, thinking he might've passed out, but Louis opens his eyes right after he hears Miles.
"Hey." He responds, a smile forming on his face.
"How are you feeling?" Miles asks, taking the chair from his desk and sitting down on it next to Louis.
"I'm okay, could've been better of course. Both my legs are broken, as well as my right arm. I got a concussion and I'm pretty dizzy, but at least I'm alive. If I didn't fall on my side, like I accidentally did, I could've had even worse injuries and I might've even died, but I'll make a full recovery." Louis explains, he's still smiling. Unlike Miles' smile, Louis' smile is a real one.
"What exactly happened after I left you at the school, how did you get up on that roof and how did you fall down?" Miles asks, he's pretty straightforward, but Louis is used to that by now.
"I think it's best if I keep those details to myself. Telling them would do more harm than good." Louis says, knowing he promised Ladybug not to tell anyone about the miraculous she entrusted him with.
"You can't just go and say that it's fine like this. Wasn't it El's fault? She got akumatised, did she hurt you? And those heroes didn't even save you, what kind of heroes are unable to save someone, I just don't understand why-"
"Please stop." Louis interrupts Miles. Instead of lying down, he sits straight up and lays his hand on Miles' hands. "This isn't El's fault, she couldn't help getting akumatised and no akumatised person can control their actions. You, being the owner of the LadyBlog, should know that better than anyone. And for the heroes, they tried to save me, but they had to fight the akuma at the same time. They did everything they could."
Miles starts to get emotional, he can feel tears stinging in his eyes, but he tries not to cry. "Is it my fault then? Should I have done something to prevent-" Miles starts, but he doesn't finish his sentence. "to prevent-" he tries again, but fails.
"You could say that what happened to me was inevitable, no one could've done something to prevent what happened. The heroes couldn't, El couldn't, I couldn't, and you couldn't either."
"But what if-" Miles starts, but Louis interrupts him "You couldn't have done anything, and it's fine this way. Please don't blame it on others, I assume you've been blaming this on El while I was absent from school."
"How did you-"
"I've known you for years, basically my whole life. So I know you and I know you'd most likely act like that."
Miles stays silent, trying not to cry. If anyone here was to cry, it should be Louis, not him. Louis got bad injuries, Louis almost died, so why is Louis the one smiling while he is breaking down?
"Come here, you need a hug." Louis says, opening his arms. Miles looks up, he questions if he should, but eventually engages in the hug.
"I just feel like I could've done something." He says after a while, his voice trembling from crying.
Louis doesn't respond again, he just comforts his best friend when he needs it.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't cry in front of you. I'm fine. Can we talk about something else?" Miles eventually manages to say.
Louis smiles, "Sure, what do you want to talk about?"
The two boys decide it's time for Miles to go after about twenty more minutes. Miles' eyes are still red and a bit puffy, but they were much worse. Once Miles comes downstairs, he tells Autumn Louis wants to speak with her next, he says goodbye to Louis' parents and leaves their house.
He walks for a bit, ten minutes, twenty minutes, maybe more, but once he's at a place where he's sure no one he knows would see him, he starts crying again. He could curse himself for being such a crybaby. He grabs a tissue from his pocket to blow his nose, but a purple butterfly finds its way on it.
