Adrien puts his phone away, clearly upset over what he just discussed with his wife. He walks into an alley and Plagg comes flying out.
"What happened?" Plagg asks him.
"Too much. Apparently, Hugo is upset because he got in a fight with Emma and Tikki just felt the presence of the butterfly miraculous." Adrien doesn't continue his sentence, he doesn't know how.
"You have to pass me on, don't you?" Plagg asks, both of them knew it had to happen one day.
"It's okay. I'm sure you'll find someone as worthy of the cat miraculous as you are. And you'll never know, we might see each other again someday."
"I'll find someone that will treat you right, Plagg, I promise." Adrien says, knowing how former holders have treated Plagg in the past.
"I know you will." Plagg smiles, giving Adrien one last hug before Adrien renounces him.
Adrien gets the small miracle box from his jacket, he always carries it with him. He stores the ring safely in it before putting it back in his jacket. He then starts walking around the city again, searching for his son.
He's been searching for twenty minutes when he sees someone flying over. Even with his new make-over, Adrien recognises him as his son.
"Hugo!" He shouts, realizing too late that that wasn't the best idea.
"Hi dad, haven't seen you in a while. If I kidnap you now, our family is bound to show up and then I can take revenge on Emma." He says with a grin, it scares Adrien to see his son this way. Hugo is usually the most sweet and innocent of his three children.
"Hugo, this isn't you. I know it's hard to fight an akuma, especially when you're sad or angry, but I know you can do it. I believe in you." Adrien says, standing his ground, he won't show weakness in front of his own son. He wants to be a good father.
"This isn't the Hugo you knew, I'm the improved Hugo, my name is Soul Searcher." Soul Searcher says, showing off what his powers can do by getting an arrow from his 'backpack' and using his bow to shoot it at a stranger. The stranger immediately turns pale, as if their soul left their body and there's only skin and bones left.
"If you don't come with me, you'll become just like them, dad." Soul Searcher says, getting a new arrow from his backpack and pointing it at Adrien. He starts counting down from 10, indicating that he will shoot once the countdown is over.
A girl around the age of 15 sees all that happen while hiding behind a tree with her skateboard clenched in her arms. She's wearing a long pair of jeans which are cuffed, a black and white striped turtleneck with a black shirt over it and a beanie over her short, brown hair. She's terrified, but she can't just stay hidden there. That poor man stands no chance against the floating boy. She has never seen something like this. Although she did hear about 'akumas' before, she can only assume this is one. Once she hears the boy counting down, pointing an arrow at the man, she can't seem to stay hidden any longer. She starts skating towards the boy and once she's close, she picks up her skateboard in one movement and hits the boy with it. The skateboard breaks instantly, but at least she's able to help the man now.
"Come with me, let's find a safe place to hide." She says, her voice is trembling and her breath is unsteady, but she manages to get herself and Adrien away.
Adrien feels like he found someone worthy of the cat miraculous.
"Your skateboard is all busted now, how can I make it up to you?" He asks, distracting her so he can slip the box containing the ring in her bag.
"It's no big deal, it was getting old anyway. And besides, the orphanage where I live is just around the corner, I can manage to get there by foot."
"Are you sure? I can walk you there if you'd like."
"No, it's okay. You stay hidden here, I've heard about akumas before, and I'm sure Chat Noir will show up soon."
"Let me at least thank you for saving my life, Miss..."
"El."
"Thank you for saving my life, El."
"No problem. Have a great day, sir, and make sure to stay hidden until the akuma is defeated." El says before running off.
Autumn as well as El get home, both terrified about what happened today.
No one is allowed to leave El's orphanage, which she doesn't disagree on. She walks up to her room, which she shares with two others, and sits down on her bed. The people who she shares her room with aren't here though, they're probably hiding somewhere else. She wants to take her sketch block from her bag to sketch and distract herself when she notices a strange looking box in there which she's never seen before. She opens it and gets blinded by the green light.
Autumn gets home too, her foster parents called her immediately after hearing about the new akuma sighting. The moment she steps inside, she gets embraced by them.
"We were so worried, are you okay, you didn't get hurt, did you? It has been thirty years since a crisis like this happened. Everyone thought HawkMoth got defeated, but I guess he's on the loose again."
"I think there's a reasonable explanation for why someone got akumatised again and we'll hear from it on the news later today." Autumn says, hoping they don'y realise her shaky breath. Her parents simply nod.
"Why don't you take a shower, you look wrecked."
"I will, thanks mom." Autumn says, giving her mom a small kiss on her cheek before leaving for her room. When she drops her bag on the ground, she hears a loud thud, which confuses her due to the fact that nothing was in her bag this morning. She opens her bag to see a strange looking box lying in it. She opens it and gets blinded by a reddish pink light.
Hey! I'm back again with a new chapter. I hope you enjoyed reading it. I don't have much to say except that I made this photo thing of El, just like I did with Autumn last chapter.
(for the people wondering, I made it with piccrew.)
Anyways, here she is!
bug out!
