My first day on the job.

I would say I'm nervous but that's an understatement. After the encounter with Mr. Young he seemed like the type to use his charm and wise words to swoon women. My assistant job sounds pretty good so far; paperwork and taking calls doesn't seem too insane.

While making breakfast just morning, I nearly flipped the pancake onto the ceiling from the cause of my jitters. In a hurry not to burn one side I grabbed the spatula and flipped. The honking and havoc from the New York streets interrupted my pancake flipping so I turned to the noise, not noticing that the pancake was still in midair. I turned back and it was on the side of the cabinet. Luckily, there wasn't much spillage.

Don't get me wrong, I can cook but just keep me away from pancakes.

Currently driving to my job bumping Disney songs. I called my dad not too long ago. He was at work so I didn't want to keep him for long; he's definitely a hard worker. He did everything in his power to give me and Mana the best childhood and he's achieved it. From tea parties to pool parties.

Once the firehouse comes into view I park my car and grab the necessities. I didn't wear anything too over the top. Simple white shirt with green wide leg trousers and white heels.

Walking in the entrance I pass Rikkee.

"Hey Rikkee" I wave while walking past.

"Hey Rhea" she says marking off something in her papers. "Oh and come to me at the end of the day".

Why do I feel like I'm in trouble already?

I push that thought aside and nod. Opening another door I pass the indoor balcony to approach another.

Before going to Chief's office I see a lady exit and fix her blouse.

He wouldn't, would he?

Shaking my head in disgust, I proceed to his door.

I knock for what felt like the third time and finally hear a response, so I enter.

"Sit" he says sitting behind his desk. I go to a chair while he goes through a drawer. "Here, take these papers and check off the things that apply here. There are check boxes on all of these pages and I want them done by today".

Looking at the papers, it's a load. It's almost quintuple the size of a summer packet.

"Your office is over there, I suggest you start now" he says nonchalantly then leaning back into his chair.
