The silence is killing me"

Rikkee and I talked about everything we could possibly think of. From favorite foods to our times as little girls. Very embarrassing times.

Daron finally left me alone after me explaining why he's wasting his time. Rikkee helped as well. I'm starting to believe Lincun and Owen are the only normal guys around. And of course some of the other guys I've chatted with here and there.

Everyone came back from the call earlier. Turns out the guy who called for the incident left his sauce on for too long while trying to 'multitask'. Every time they come from the job and tell us what went down it only makes me want to be a firefighter ten times more. To be the one to save someone's life.

"Got everything Taylor?" Oh yeah, and Aaron's taking me on a tour for the city tonight. Almost forgot about that, again.

I can't remember things after a certain amount of time to save my life. I'd forget just that quick. Once mama told me to remind her we had to pick up a dress for my cousin's sweet sixteen and I totally forgot so we had to rush to get one the morning of.

Yeah, moral of the story don't tell me to remind you of anything.

"Yeah, I'll leave my car in the lot when we come back to pick it up" He nods and we exit the firehouse together. Rikkee said he doesn't have a backup so I'm wondering who's going to stay there while we head out. "Um, Who's holding your spot until we get back?" He doesn't answer my question so I take that as a 'don't worry about it' answer.

We walk to the familiar black Audi, I walk behind him until he stops at the passenger door. Opening it, he looks at me shortly then to his watch until I step inside.

Last time I was in here I didn't really pay attention to the details because of how I couldn't hold my drink. The black leather seats, gold accents, dark grey stitching, and the smell of cologne. It's fit for him.

He enters the drivers seat and starts up the car. He puts his hand on the head of my seat and backs out from parking. On the road he keeps his right hand steering on the bottom of the wheel with just his index finger, while leaning his left arm by his window tapping lightly every now and then. The silence is killing me and that's when he decides to talk first, which surprises me.

"Reese is holding my spot" He says answering my question from earlier. I nod but then the silence fills in again.

"Where are we going?" Hopefully that'll make this less uncomfortable.
