Late nights in the middle of June"

After leaving the jail last night, I came back home and sat on my balcony watching the sun come up with a glass of bourbon by my side.

Watching my phone light up -for what could be the fifth time now- I pick it up and watch as Rhea's name pops on my screen with an incoming call from my older brother, Adonis.

With a roll of my eyes, I answer his call.

"Adonis" I sigh.

"Aaron what the hell are you thinking?" he scolds me.

"Ohhh spare me the agony, Donnie" I roll my eyes although he can't see me.

"Open your door" he says making my low eyelids widen. Absent-mindedly I toss the rest of my bourbon off the balcony knowing about my brother's prestigious preferences. Returning inside and sliding the door back I search the room for anything out of place. "Aaron. The door" he says reminding me he's still on the phone.

"Oh shit, yeah" I end the call and head for my front door. Adonis Young, the oldest of Asher and I. The most laidback out of the three of us, yet he still has a job. His grey sweats and plain shirt showing just how much of a relaxed person he is. His black hair kept tousled on top his head. "And why are you here?".

"Because Elise called me saying and I quote 'at least two of my boys come to see me' ", he annoyingly says walking over to my couch looking around my house. I'm telling you if he doesn't like something he'll say it out loud. Bringing his attention to the empty glass -I forgot to put away- placed on the coffee table he turns to me, "Do you not have cabinets?".

You would've thought I've committed a crime.

He was the one sibling attaching a jump rope to separate our sides of the room.

~ Flashback ~

Adonis claimed I'm not as tidy as I should be 'these days' so he taped a jump rope to separate our sides of the room. We've always shared a room and Asher had his own.

Weird, right. Mom always had her favorites.

"What are you doing?" I ask Adonis, realizing my side of the room is seperated from his, by a nylon rope.

"Creating order" he responded.

"How is this creating order Adonis?".
