as i've been saying for like two years now, i'm working towards getting consistent enough at the art thing to do commissions. which means i need to figure out a basic coloring style that doesn't take me forever. one of the things that makes me take so long to finish a piece is that i end up trying a new way to line and color every damn time. so here are a couple of wips where i'm trying out something similar to cel shading!first of all, speaking of comms... i reminded myself that i've owed someone an art trade for like a year. i had the sketches done for their two headshots, but needed to do the actual lines and colors. so far he looks good! in a weird way, they're lucky it's taken me so long, since now i can actually turn in something i'm proud of.
secondly: more keef! or klance, technically. if you choose to interpret it that way. i posted the sketch of this in october bc i had originally intended to do the whole keithtober thing... i still wanna do all those planned pieces at some point, but it'll just be a keith series. keith isn't quite done yet either— i have to line and color the smaller background figure and his hair needs more work.
i'm drawing constantly lately, but i'm stuck at that 65% finished phase with like four different pieces! here's hoping i can actually finish one of these things.
