i'm trying to get by on commission work these days on account of being unemployed since like june. the first person to bite did so via Twitter, asking if i would be interested in doing a bust long before i had started offering them formally! they do a webcomic and wanted me to draw one of the main characters. as far as i could tell, it's a pretty common practice for them, which is honestly very cool.this is what i ended up with! her face bothers me a bit (my style isn't consistent and i might have given her more realistic eyes if i did this piece now), but i really like how her hand turned out! she's got powers that result in her sort of flaking apart and the necklace seems to be significant there.
since i'm still trying to establish a style, i played around with the black background white a bit. i think most of my busts will be presented something like this.
