tumblr shenanigans

I actively ran a tumblr account by the same name as this account for a little over a year. I left solely because it got to be too much work for me to keep up and I lost motivation. I want to revive it someday, but it'll take a lot of organization and a real computer.

Occasional drama aside, I generally had a lot of fun on tumblr. I had cool followers, I followed cool people, and most of all, fandoms and other bloggers inspired me to do soooooo much art. I did more art in that one year than I've ever done before or since. Here, I thought I'd share the random gifts I drew in that time!

Slick-haired Jean

The Attack on Titan fandom is huge on tumblr, and they're generally pretty funny

The Attack on Titan fandom is huge on tumblr, and they're generally pretty funny. A girl I followed randomly wondered in a post one day: What would Jean Kirchstein look like with his hair slicked back? I responded with a drawing. I traced most of it over a screenshot to save time, and then figured out how his hair would work.

Long-haired Fem!Japan

My main tumblr fandom was Hetalia, and most of my art centered around it. Goldie was a cute mutual follower of mine who was pretty new to art, but already had a distinct style. One day she was sad, and she had mentioned in a previous post that she looooooves fem!Japan but would love to see her with long hair. I showed up with this, and she was pretty darn happy.

Midnight the Mary Sue

So one of my favorite blogs ever was MSpaintItalyandFriends

So one of my favorite blogs ever was MSpaintItalyandFriends. It was a bunch of goofy comics drawn hastily in MS paint, as the title implies, and she answered questions from the ask box. The blog made me laugh just about every day, and the gal who ran it was cool too. (Personal favorite that I remember— ask box question: how do u speak the ching chong language?? comic: China drops a box of silverware and pans down a flight of stairs and then informs the asker that that means "respect ur elders")
One day a follower submitted a question asking about terrible Hetalia sues inserted into romance fics, and the week-long gag of 'Midnight the Mary Sue' was born. After a lot of people asked, the admin created the worst Mary Sue she could imagine and made the blog themed around her for a while. People had a blast with it, asking for all kinds of scenarios, until she eventually met her demise. I drew this to commemorate the event.

Admin and Fem!Russia

Said admin from the previous picture was such a doll that I made up my mind to draw her something else later

Said admin from the previous picture was such a doll that I made up my mind to draw her something else later. When she mentioned her intense love for/literal crush on fem!Russia, I jumped on it and made her a cute picture.

Chicken Nuggets

One of my favorite bloggers randomly said one day that she wanted art of the German brothers fighting over chicken nuggets

One of my favorite bloggers randomly said one day that she wanted art of the German brothers fighting over chicken nuggets. I complied. I remember being kinda saddened by the fact that the blogger posted it, but didn't even write a comment or anything in the tags, not even a thanks. Can't always win, I suppose.
