apparently now i finish art only once per year, and for the same reason, but at least i managed it (lmao). some things about the piece still bother me bc i wish i could do even slightly more elaborate backgrounds, but if i continue to mess with it i'll probably lose the essence, so here it is! i FINALLY finished the keith i've been working on for forever, an older version of which is on the cover for this actual book currently.i also whipped up a slightly more desaturated version bc the colors were originally much more muted.
and just for fun and drive the point home, here he is before the color adjustments or special lighting layers so you can see what i mean. (even this version was significantly brighter than the flats!)
when i finally get around to making an inprnt store, i think this piece will be more than good enough to sell! the official title is "hanahaki", as you could say it's vaguely inspired by the fictional disease. this piece... took a final total of nearly 27 hours and is so large a file that my poor iPad can't calculate the size. it got so big it's made my whole workflow laggy! it'll be kind of a relief to delete it, honestly.
