By the time we got back everyone was already showering, Rin asked me to change so he could dive into the water with me. Mako left with Nagisa and Rei while I did some laps, Rin was watching my every move, but I had to stop becuase my ankle began pulsating.

-You need to relax Noah- said Rin swimming towards me.

-I'm relaxed.

-You're not, all this Haru thing got you worked up.

-Well, who wouldn't?

-True, but you know he's fine.

-He's not fine.

-I mean that he's safe and sound.

-I know it's not my place to say this, but Makoto asked him for a break.

-What?- asked Rin with eyes as big as plates.

-Yes, by the way he said it, it feels more like they broke up.

-Wow, I didn't see that coming. At least not today.

-Makoto is hurting so I can understand, but I also understand a bit of Haru's position. He's not in the best mental state right now, if he'd told a bit to Makoto, maybe this wouldn't have happened.

I sighed.

-It is. The only positive thing I can find here is that Mako is always worrying about Haru, he's always there for him, despite his interests or things he's to do. So, I'm glad he's finally putting himself first. The thing is, I don't know how Haru is taking this.

Rin hugged me under the water and pecked my lips to distract me.

-Noah, when you were thinking where Haru could be... You felt unwell, right?

-You noticed.

-It was only my breathing, but I could control it.

-Yeah, I guess I'm beginning to understand how to deal with this.

-I'm glad, sweetheart- he said kissing me.

Haru came back the next day.

He texted me around noon, saying that he had arrived at the apartment. He was going to attend his afternoon lectures and then he would go by the pool. He's probably going to talk with Mako, so when practice finished, I asked Mako to stay for a bit. His eyes felt droopy, but he still nodded. Haru arrived like a ghost to the pool just when Mako, Rin and I were the only ones left. I didn't have to make up an excuse, so I took Rin's hand and guided him out of the pool.

-Do you think they'll sort things out?- asked Rin as soon as we were out.

-I hope so, but Mako was determined yesterday to not give him a second chance.

-Damn, that's tough. We'll have to wait until Haru comes back.

Rin was supposed to stay with me that night, but he forgot to turn in an essay, so he had to hurry back to his place. Haru's bedroom door was opened, and a small backpack was in the middle of it, along with his shoes and some clothing lying on the floor. He must have left in a hurry to university. I made dinner for both of us, I hoped he wouldn't come back, I hoped he would resolve things with Mako and stayed with him tonight. But when I listen to the front door opening, my heart dropped.
