I woke up around 11am, I stretched and took my phone from the floor. I got a text from Rin.
-Morning Noah, do you want to eat some ramen for lunch?
-Of course!- I replied.
-You deserve a meal without mackerel every once in awhile- he joked.
-Mackerel is the best.
-Keep lying to yourself.
-Rude.
-:P

I ate some fruit and oatmeal since it was already 11 and I would see Rin in maybe a couple of hours. I yawned while scrolling down through my phone.
-Morning- greeted Nanase entering the kitchen with a small towel on his head. He had already bathed.
-Morning Nanase. What are your plans for today?
-Clean the kitchen.
-But we already cleaned it last night, in fact we clean the whole apartment- I said confused.
-Yes, but we didn't do the dishes or clean the oven.
-Oh, right. Ok let me finish and I'll help you.
He nodded and sat down in front of me with his elbows resting on the table. He was looking at my plate with his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
-You ok?- I asked cautiously.
-What is that?
-Oatmeal with apple and strawberries- I said.
-Can I try it?
-You've never had oatmeal before?
-Savory oatmeal yes, sweet no.
-Oh. That's a first. Let me get your chopsticks- I said standing up and going to the kitchen again.
I came back with them and saw Nanase staring at the oatmeal like if it was going to move or do something amazing if he looked somewhere else.
-Nanase you're so cute- I said giggling- here.
-Thank you- he said with a slight blush on his cheeks while taking the chopsticks from my hand.
He took a bite and his eyes widened a bit.
-There's more in the kitchen, I can bring a plate for you if you'd like.
He nodded vigorously. I smiled widely, I hadn't seen him act like that since we met. I went back into the kitchen and a couple of minutes later I brought him a plate similar to mine. He dug in immediately.
-Glad you like it.
-Why is this so good?
-Because I made it- I said cockily.
-Probably.

After eating he washed the dishes while I cleaned the oven, we ended up swiping the floor as well. It was almost twelve when he left to go to Makoto's place to play videogames and I headed to take a bath before meeting Rin. I put some music on while I was changing since Nanase wasn't there and I wouldn't bother him.
-Where should we meet?- I texted Rin.
-At the train station in about 20
-Ok.

It was a little chilly outside, so I took a denim jacket and put it on. I took a small purse and headed to the door. This time I was the first to arrive, I leaned on the wall of the station and put my sunglasses on, to avoid the sun from getting into my eyes. I was watching the people come and go from the station, so many stories, so many memories, so many lives passing by... I was in another country trying to learn a bit from it, I was so lucky. I took a deep breath, taking in my reality.
-Hey you- said a voice from behind. A smile crept into my face automatically.
-Hey- I said turning around. He was resting an arm on the wall, towering over me.
-Shall we?
-Yeah, come on- he said walking by my side.
-Where are we going to eat Ramen?
-At a special place, it's probably the best place to eat Ramen in Tokyo.
-Really? That good?
-For sure. I don't think the owner is there right now, but his son is running the place for the time being, and he's as good as his father.
-Ok then, I trust you- I said getting in the busy train.
-It's just 4 stations this time, because the restaurant is in another shopping district.

We were standing by the window, and I got lost in the view from it. Suddenly, more people got inside of the train and we got pushed together, like really together. I was cornered to the wall beside the window and Rin was towering over me trying to separate from me at least a little so I could breathe normally.
-Sorry- he said blushing. Probably he was feeling all of my curves on his body.
-It's fine, it's not your fault.
The bright side was that I could smell his perfume, it was so manly. I took a deep breath.
-You-you smell good- I whispered just for him to hear.
-Thanks, you do too- he said with a small smile.

At the fourth station he dragged me to the door from my waist so we could get out, I felt his cold fingers digging in my skin as he pulled me with him.
-Maybe we should take the bus next time, otherwise it's going to be really uncomfortable everytime we go in- he said once we were walking to the exit.
-Yeah, we can try that- I agreed.
We walked through a small street full of different shops along the way.
-Is this the shopping district you were talking about?- I asked.
-Yeah, the restaurant is almost at the end of this street.

I was amazed with the kindness that irradiated from all the people there, if that even makes sense. They were smiling and saying "have a good day" even though we didn't know them, that's not something you see everyday in Japan. We kept walking and the smell of delicious food got to my nostrils. I saw on the left a small restaurant.
-Shokujidokoro Yukihira- I read slowly the red sign.
-That's correct!- Rin said flashing a smile.
-Really?
-Yeah, you've gotta work on the pronunciation though, but it was better than I expected.
-Thanks- I said smiling a bit.
We entered the restaurant and took the only seat that was left by the window. I saw the cook working his magic on the grill. He was redhead as well and looked so young, his amber eyes was something like I've never seen before. The white bandana that was on his head really suited him as well, he seemed to be really focused on what he was doing.
-Stop eyeing the cook.
-Why?
-It's not really polite.
-I'm not trying to be- I joked.
Rin rolled his eyes playfully and handed me a menu.
-I think I like redheads- I said without taking my eyes of the menu.
I heard him gulp.
-I can't really read the menu, so I just want the ramen you'll have- I said boringly.
-Right, I didn't realise that, sorry.
-Don't worry, it's fine.
-Hey Sōma! Two ramen- he said shouting at him.
And I was the one being impolite.

When we had the ramen in front of us my eyes widened at the size of the plate, maybe I shouldn't have eaten that oatmeal.
-Surprised?- he said taking his chopsticks.
-A bit- I said without looking at him.
I made a face when I tasted a bit of the egg. I've never really liked boiled eggs like this one.
-You don't like it?
-Just not the egg.
-Try it all together, if you want you can cut the egg in small pieces so it's not that bad, it actually changes the taste.
-Ok.
I moved the chopsticks scissor like trying to cut in some way the egg. My eyebrows were furrowed and I was so focused on it. Then I heard a snapshot and I diverted my eyes to Rin.
-Did you just take a picture of me?
-You looked so cute, I couldn't help myself- he said showing me his phone from a safe distance.
I rolled my eyes but smiled anyways.
-Want some help with that?- he was smirking.
I nodded embarrassed.
He brought his chopsticks to my plate and cut swiftly the damn egg. Then he took a little bit of everything in his chopsticks and brought it closer to me.
-Uh?
-Eat it.
-Now you're going to feed me?- I said opening my mouth to eat.
No one gives you food from his chopsticks, you can eat from other plates but not really have someone feeding you.

I don't really know how but I managed to eat everything, and it was glorious. We walked out of the restaurant, with a small belly of ramen and a big smile on our faces.
-Thank you for bringing me here.
-No problem, you had to eat something that's not mackerel.
-What do you have against mackerel? It's amazing.
-It's ok, but the fact that Haru eats it everyday...
-But you're not eating it, he is. How does that affect you?
-I guess I got sick of him saying how wonderful is mackerel and asking everyone if they like mackerel.
-So that's why he asked me that when we met.
-Yeah.
-Well, I'm not going to stop eating it, it's my new favourite food. I don't eat it exactly everyday though, but pretty often, at least 5 times per week.
-But we can eat something different every once in awhile.
-I'd like that- I said smiling at him. He returned the smile.

We walked to the bus stop and Rin was looking at the map trying to find the stop closer to our homes. He looked kinda cute, so I took out my cellphone, turned off the sound and snap a picture of him. When he turned to look at me, I had already put the device in my bag.
-We just have to wait 5 minutes.
-Cool- I said leaning on the crystal and looking at the busy street in front of me, I took my phone and took a picture.
-What are you thinking about?- he asked.
-I love being here.
-Really?
I nodded.
-It's so different from anything I've seen, I just want to learn it all, to see it all, to understand it all.
-I don't think you really can. We have such a short life.
-Indeed. But I'll try anyways.
-That's the spirit.
We took the bus which was almost empty and seated next to the other.
-Hey, do you want to go a party next week? It's on wednesday.
-Wednesday? Who's going to throw a party on a wednesday?
-A college student. Haven't you gone to one?
-Just on the weekends.
-Well, I'm sure it's gonna be fun, tell me if you change your mind.
-I'm not really the party animal, but Sousuke is.
-That's your roommate right?
-Yeah, exactly. We can go to my place so you can meet him.
-Yeah, sure- I said smiling and glancing to the window.
I loved to see the people passing by.
